Let’s talk about our Lymphatic system!
People have asked what does it do!?🤷🏽♀️
The lymphatic system is a network of vessels, tissues, and organs that helps maintain fluid balance, defend the body against infections, and remove waste products. It transports lymph—a clear fluid containing white blood cells—throughout the body and plays a key role in the immune system.
Our lymphatic system is struggling because what you put on our skin, inhaled/airborne pollution or what we put in our mouths such as processed foods.
What does this mean for us?
This may lead to inflammation of lymph nodes, weakened immune function, and slower removal of waste and toxins from tissues.
Why?
Because the toxins block up the lymphatic system so the body can’t work effectively.
How can a manual lymphatic drainage treatment help?
Reduces swelling (edema):
MLD helps drain excess fluid from tissues, which can relieve puffiness, swelling after surgery or injury, and conditions like lymphedema.
Improves detoxification:
By stimulating lymph flow, MLD helps the body remove waste products, toxins, and metabolic by-products more effectively.
Supports immune function:
The lymphatic system plays a key role in fighting infections. MLD helps keep lymph fluid circulating, ensuring immune cells move freely and efficiently.
Enhances healing and recovery:
Improved circulation of lymph and oxygen-rich blood can speed up tissue repair after injuries, surgery, or illness.
Reduces inflammation and pain:
The gentle, rhythmic strokes help calm the nervous system, reduce fluid buildup, and ease inflammation-related discomfort.
Promotes relaxation and stress relief:
The slow, light movements activate the parasympathetic nervous system (the “rest and digest” mode), reducing stress and tension.
If you are starting to make a life style change then this is the treatment for you! 🧡
