🏳️‍⚧️ Transgender Awareness Week 🏳️‍⚧️
This week we recognise and celebrate the transgender community — sharing stories, raising awareness, and promoting understanding and inclusion.
The week leads up to the Transgender Day of Remembrance (20 November), when we honour the lives of those lost to transphobic violence and reflect on the need for continued action and allyship.
It’s also a time to celebrate the strength, resilience, and contributions of trans people everywhere, while standing together against discrimination and inequality. 💙💗🤍

At 11am on November 11, 1918, the Armistice was signed to end the fighting of WWI—a powerful moment in history that paved the way for peace. "Armistice" means "to stand (still) arms" in Latin.

Every year, we honour this moment across the UK with a Two Minute Silence at the eleventh hour on the eleventh day of the eleventh month – we will remember them. Lest we forget.

On this , we come together to honour the brave men and women who served and sacrificed for our freedom. As we wear our poppies, let’s take a moment to reflect on their courage, resilience, and the lasting impact of their sacrifices. May we never forget the cost of our peace and continue to show gratitude for those who gave everything for a better future. We will remember them.

🎗️ Gastric Cancer Awareness Month 🎗️
November is dedicated to raising awareness about gastric (stomach) cancer — a disease that often shows few symptoms in its early stages but can have a serious impact.
Knowing the signs early can save lives. Common symptoms include:
• Persistent indigestion or stomach pain
• Feeling full quickly
• Unexplained weight loss
• Nausea or vomiting
This month, let’s spread knowledge, support those affected, and encourage early detection. Every conversation, share, and check-in matters. 💛

💙 Lung Cancer Awareness – Facts & Figures (UK) 💙

➡️ Lung cancer is the 3rd most common cancer in the UK.
➡️ Around 49,200 people are diagnosed each year — that’s more than 130 every day.
➡️ 72% of cases are linked to smoking.
➡️ 21% are caused by workplace exposures or air pollution.
🩺 Lung Cancer Screening
Lung screening is available for people aged 55–74 who have ever smoked.
You’ll need to be registered with a GP in an area where screening is available, and your GP record must show you’re a current or former smoker.
Screening is for people without symptoms — if you have any symptoms, please contact your GP as soon as possible.
💡 Early detection saves lives:
At stage 1, over 55% of people survive 5+ years after diagnosis.
At stage 4, that number drops to just 5%.
Know the signs. Get checked. Early action makes a difference. 💪

🌟Movember is here! 🌟

This month, we’re all about raising awareness and support for men’s health. Movember is a time to focus on critical issues like prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and men’s mental health. Let’s grow those moustaches, have open conversations, and support the men in our lives!

💙 Ways to join the movement:
1️⃣Grow a Mo and share your progress.
2️⃣Get active and set a fitness goal for the month.
3️⃣Start a conversation with a friend or family member.
4️⃣Donate to men’s health charities.

Every Mo counts! Let’s make a difference, one moustache at a time.

Every day, 240 people will wake up to the life-changing impact of a stroke. But with the right support, stroke recovery is possible.

is the only charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families. Mums, dads, grandparents, young people, and even children can be left unable to move, see, speak, or even swallow. It’s a traumatic, life-changing event that robs survivors and their families of the life they knew.

This , join us in raising awareness of stroke and help the Stroke Association to support more stroke survivors at every step of their recovery. https://stroke.org.uk/

Enjoy that extra hour of sleep… or spend it wondering why every clock in your house changes itself except the oven. 😅

🩸 World MDS Awareness Day – October 25 🩸

Every year, over 2,000 people in the UK are diagnosed with Myelodysplastic Syndromes (MDS), a rare type of blood cancer where the bone marrow struggles to produce healthy blood cells.

On World MDS Awareness Day, we’re raising awareness about this rare condition and the importance of early diagnosis and support for those affected. Let’s spread the word and help more people understand MDS!

Wear it Pink

Today - wear it pink, raise money and help make life-changing breast cancer research and support happen.

Why?
Because every pound raised could help fund a potentially life-saving research breakthrough, or give someone information they can rely on when they need it most
