❌WARNING❌

We are reminding people NOT to use any type of corn plaster without first seeking advice from a podiatrist.

Products purchased from shops or pharmacy’s DO NOT mean they are suitable or safe for everyone,
even if you are following advice

Podiatrist’s will assess and treat you and will only use acids or dressing where deemed appropriate or suitable

The photo below demonstrates the devastating effects that even corn plasters which do not contain acids, can have on peoples feet.

The white area at the centre of the wound is BONE.

The person concerned has now been referred to NHS Podiatry and the Multi Disciplinary Team MDT.

This patient wasnt seen at HOP, but permission has been given by the practice and patient to share.

Our Story

Cambridge House Dorset is Dorchester’s longest and largest running Chiropody and Podiatry practice, having been set up over 60 years ago. It's most recent owners are husband and wife team; Kate Wildman and Matthew Bradshaw took who over in August 2011.

The Practice was originally started by Mr Neville Jones as a single chair practice in the heart of Dorchester on Prince of Wales Road but was acquired by Mrs Sharp in 1990. At the start of the century in 2000, it became the first medical practice of any sort in Poundbury, where it stayed for eight years until January 2008, when it was expanded and relocated to a more central location at Cambridge House off Maud Road and where it remains today, offering a new and modern environment with the latest, up to date practices from competent, professional practitioners. The Practice covers all areas of Chiropody/Podiatry and has clinical links with other health care professionals in the surrounding area.
