Although it may not feel like it with all the wet weather we have had recently, spring really is just around the corner! Our Nature Recovery Ranger Ruth recently spotted cowslips in Mark’s Meadow and daffodils by the Robert White Centre on our main hospital site. It’s so lovely to see a burst of colour! 🌱☀️🐝

Help stop the spread of norovirus 😷

If you have experienced vomiting, diarrhoea and/or a moderate to high temperature in the previous 48 hours, please do not visit the hospital.

There is no specific treatment for norovirus, but you should drink plenty of fluids to avoid dehydration. More information is available on the Stay Well Dorset website - find the link in the comments below.

We are delighted to have launched a new service to offer patients a quicker, more comfortable alternative to a traditional endoscopy, while supporting the early detection of cancer.

The capsule sponge test is a safe and effective procedure that can be delivered in just a few minutes, without the need for sedation or recovery time. Patients can be seen more quickly and comfortably, while also helping to reduce pressure on endoscopy services.

This innovative service has been made possible through strong collaborative working between , and Health Innovation Wessex, working alongside Dorset County Hospital teams. 👏
