Gloucestershire Constabulary Case Study...

We recently worked with Gloucestershire Constabulary to produce a Challenge Coin that could be awarded to all Volunteer Police Cadets on completion of their service.

Encirling the Volunteer Police Cadets Badge are the words 'Community, Teamwork and Endeavour' as a reminder of the Cadets commitment.

Gloucestershire’s Volunteer Police Cadets are aged between 13 and 18, and then have the option to return as a junior leader at the end of their service.

105th Royal Artillery Regiment Case Study...

We recently worked with Keith, the RSM at 105 Regiment Royal Artillery Official, also known as The Scottish and Ulster Gunners to produce five challenge coins for recognition.

Four different Battery coins were produced and are presented by the Battery Commanders to soldiers who have gone above and beyond their daily duties.

The fifth coin, also known as the The Saint Barbara Coin, is gifted by the Regiment’s Commanding Officer to those who have been recognised for surpassing expectation.

Skull & Bloom Case Study...

We’ve recently worked with Rory at Skull & Bloom to produce a ‘memento mori’ challenge coin, in other words ‘remember you must die’. Whilst this may sound morbid to some, Rory is passionate to remind people to live life to the fullest and cherish every moment.

Rory wanted to create a challenge coin to commemorate this. The skull and rose on the obverse represent life and death, whilst the reverse depicts the tree of life; a rose to portray life; an hourglass which represents time running out and a scythe as a reminder of our mortality. We love the modern twist that Rory has created with this Skull & Bloom challenge coin, it makes for a nice change on the current gothic style coins on the market.

On Sunday, hundreds paid their respects to Surgeon Capt Rick Jolly, a Royal Navy medical officer who saved hundreds of troops during the Falklands War.

He is the only person to have been decorated by both Britain and Argentina for his service during the conflict, awarded the OBE by the Queen and the Orden de Mayo by Argentina.

Today, we have taken time to pay our respects.

Surgeon Capt Rick Jolly reputedly saved the life of every British serviceman he treated.
