Residents have been enjoying the lead-up to Christmas with visits from the Portland Cubs and Damer’s First School, who both came in to sing festive carols. Hot chocolate with cream, marshmallows, and Maltesers was a welcome treat!

Betty, Kay, and Jill also visited Prince of Wales First School to watch the KS2 Goldilocks and the Three Bears musical.

The week finished with a Christmas service led by Mike and Angie Steer — another opportunity for residents to be part of local celebrations 🎄

Castle View residents enjoyed a visit to Sherborne Abbey to see the exhibit: The Longest Yarn – Britain at War 🧶✨

From intricate knitted wartime scenes to our life-sized Army of Duty Calls figures, there was plenty to admire and reflect on. A donation from the residents and staff helped support veterans and the Abbey — a meaningful day of history, art, and remembrance.

Join us at Castle View for an afternoon full of festive cheer! Explore craft stalls, take part in our raffle supporting Dorchester's foodbank, enjoy mulled wine, mince pies, and Christmas music.

The Sun Lounge was recently transformed into a warm and festive haven thanks to Angie and Trudi from our Housekeeping team.

They created an enchanting Christmas Room, complete with twinkling lights, thoughtful decorations, and even a Father Christmas grotto. Designed for moments of relaxed enjoyment, the space will be a highlight of our Christmas fayre and a cosy retreat for residents to share with friends.

To mark the occasion, Betty, Muriel, and Margaret proudly cut the ribbon and welcomed everyone inside.
