The Community Wardrobe

Hello & welcome to our new followers. 👋🏼
For those who aren’t sure how it all works in our pop up shop, here’s a breakdown for you…

Our rails & tables are full of both male & female, pre-loved, clean, good condition, adult clothing. We have items neatly folded on tables and accessories like belts, scarves, ties, costume jewellery around the room. Each rail of clothing is sized in order, neatly displayed and in separate categories like skirts, trousers, blouses etc, for your ease of searching and viewing♻️

No items are a set price, it is simply up to you as to what you’d like to pay (For those really unsure how much to contribute, there is a guide at our desk for your viewing).

Everyone is welcome to come & take what they need & give what they can. Therefore, for those who wish to give a monetary contribution (cash or card) & those who take multiple items, we ask for a donation of what you think the items are worth to you. If you are struggling to clothe yourself, please come and talk to us & we will help where we can. (*Unfortunately, we cannot run like a swap shop.) All cash donations received, are used for the continued running costs it takes for us to be open. (We kindly ask for no foreign currency in our donation box thank you) We also have a card machine if you wish to donate in this way.

We are located in the small hall of Dorking Christian Centre on Friday mornings from 10am until 1pm.

So please come and help make use of the clothing we have in our shop and save it from going to landfill♻️

If you are donating any items, could we please ask these are in good, clean condition to go straight on display (we don’t have means of repairing or cleaning items). Therefore, please only donate bags that you know what’s inside. We don’t take underwear unless it is unused and still with tags or in original packaging. And we kindly ask that people only bring in donations when we are open on a Friday morning and to not ‘dump’ bags for The Christian Centre to sort out (we only hire the hall from them). We can currently only take the maximum of one black sack per person.

If you’re visiting tomorrow, you will find that we are having a pre summer sale on our dresses and tops, where you can purchase 3 items for £1. We accept cash or we also have a card machine. Please do remember to bring your own bags as we cannot guarantee that we will have any unless they are donated. Many thanks ♻️

We a have something a little different this coming Friday… all of our dresses and tops are 3 for £1 ..mix and match or 3 of the same item. Just bring your items to the desk and you can either pay cash or we have a card machine. Please don’t forget to bring your own bags with you, as we cannot guarantee we have any. Many thanks 🙏🏻♻️

Please be aware that the whole centre will be closed on Good Friday, therefore we will reopen the following week …April 10th.

We are currently able to accept clothing and accessories donations. We are particularly short of mens clothing (no suits please).. larger sizes if possible and also shoes too.

Aswell as clothing we also accept.. jewellery, belts, handbags, shoes, scarves and hats
