🎶💙 Music, Memories & Lots of Smiles at Dorking Manor! 💙🎶

Our residents had a fantastic time singing along with Billy, whose music always brings such joy and energy to the home. From toe-tapping classics to heartfelt favourites, the room was filled with laughter, memories and plenty of feel-good moments.

It’s always wonderful to see how music brings everyone together - and today was no exception! 🎤✨

🌧️ Rainy Day? Perfect for Scrabble! 🌧️

When the weather kept us indoors today, we turned it into the perfect excuse for a cosy afternoon of Scrabble! 🔠☕

Laughter, friendly competition, and some very creative word choices filled the room. It’s amazing how a simple board game can bring everyone together and brighten even the greyest of days. 💛

Here’s to making rainy afternoons warm, fun, and full of good company!

Our residents were treated to a truly special afternoon as we welcomed a talented harpist to perform in our bistro 🎶✨🪉

The soothing sounds of the harp filled the home creating a peaceful and joyful atmosphere. Smiles, tapping feet, and a few happy tears reminded us just how powerful music can be. 💕

We had the pleasure of welcoming Rosie the therapy dog to Dorking Manor 🐶

Animal therapy plays such a special role in promoting wellbeing - bringing comfort, reducing stress, and sparking wonderful conversations among residents.

A huge thank you to Rosie (and her handler) for such a heartwarming visit - we’re already looking forward to the next one!

🐶💖 Meet Rosie - Our New Therapy Dog! 💖🐶

We’re so excited to welcome Rosie, our adorable new therapy dog, and her lovely owner Alison to Dorking Manor! 🐾✨

Rosie will be visiting our residents every Thursday at 10:00am, spreading joy, comfort and plenty of cuddles along the way 💕

Pet therapy brings so many smiles to our home, and we can’t wait to see the happiness Rosie brings each week! 🐕🌼

🌿 Dorking Manor Walking Club Update! 🌿

Our Walking Club is going from strength to strength, and it’s wonderful to see so many of our residents taking part and enjoying the fresh air together! 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️

This week was extra special — we had the pleasure of celebrating one of our residents’ birthdays during our walk. 🎉 Everyone loved the delicious cake made by our talented chef, and the afternoon was filled with smiles, laughter, and great company. 💕

✨ Diwali Celebrations at Dorking Manor! ✨

Today our lovely residents at Dorking Manor Care Home celebrated the beautiful Festival of Lights — Diwali! 🪔

The morning was filled with creativity during an arts and crafts session where everyone made colourful decorations. Afterwards, we enjoyed a delicious selection of Indian sweets and cakes 🍰🍬 — a perfect way to mark this special occasion.

One of our wonderful homemakers even dressed in traditional attire and looked absolutely stunning! 💛

It was a joyful day full of colour, laughter, and togetherness — just as Diwali should be! 🌟
