Chances are if you try to wait until you are pain free it'll never happen!

You are much better off modifying and working around something than avoiding altogether!

There are already a ton of barriers in the way of strength training.

And the vast majority still aren't strength training enough if at all through fear of hurting themselves or because they may already have.

Now of course, some exercises may not be appropriate at the time for some during certain situations.

But....if you get hurt performing a specific exercise, rather than blame the exercise itself ask yourself:

Did I ramp up the load or volume too quickly?

Was I adequately nourished

Don't let pain get in your way!Too often our immediate response to discomfort, pain or sensitivity is to completely stop...

Don't let pain get in your way!

Too often our immediate response to discomfort, pain or sensitivity is to completely stop exercising.

Although this may make some things feel better it usually isn't the answer and is unnecessary.

Not to forget the impact it has on your mental wellbeing by removing exercise or things you enjoy.

Simply by reducing load, volume, frequency and or modifying certain movements you can continue almost as normal!

Hear me out!

Now I'm not saying form isnt important or that it can't play a part but it certainly gets blamed far too much!

If you're someone who has ended up with an injury while performing a particular movement its probably more likely

🌟 you were working beyond current capacity
🌟 you were under recovered
🌟 you were stressed
🌟 you were underexposed to the new exercise
🌟 you have poor programming

We are very adaptable, any movement with the right programming and progressions no matter how funky looking can be perfectly safe

You could also argue you are better protected for movement by utilising and applying it through multiple planes and angles

Every day life isn't calibrated or balanced and doesnt move up and down in straight lines
