🐣 Easter Opening Hours 🐣

The Easter holidays are now in full swing with the little ones off school keeping everyone busy! I hope you’ve got some lovely plans lined up for the bank holiday weekend.

We’ll be closed this Saturday as it’s my birthday! 🥳🌸 But I’ve got limited appointments available Friday morning, so if you need a little check in or relief before the weekend, now’s a great time to book.

Enjoy the Easter egg hunt, no need to search for you chiropractor 🐣

Wishing all our patients a happy, healthy Easter 🐰🌼

💜 March is Epilepsy Awareness Month and today is Purple Day 💜

📖 Condition of the Week: Epilepsy
A neurological disease affecting around 600,000 people in the UK. It’s more common than you might think.

While chiropractic care doesn’t treat epilepsy, I want to raise awareness, share accurate information and support our community. Especially when it comes to recognising seizures and knowing basic first aid. I have close personal links to epilepsy so this topic is particularly meaningful to me. If you’ve recently been diagnosed, it can feel like life has been flipped upside down, but it does get better and support is available.

Treating more than just the jaw 💆🏻‍♂️

This patient presented with TMD (temporomandibular disorder) symptoms including: headaches, clicking and jaw deviation.

While jaw treatment is key, areas like the neck, shoulders and the area where the neck meets the upper back can also contribute to the problem if they’re stiff or tight.

That’s why treatment combined jaw techniques with work to the surrounding structures to improve movement and reduce strain overall.

Today is hashtag , and we are sharing some of the key differences between cluster headache and migraine.

Everyone's experience is different and not everyone with migraine or cluster headache will experience all of these but it can be helpful to be familiar with the symptoms.

You can read more about cluster headache, and other headache disorders, on our website (https://migrainetrust.org/understand-migraine/types-of-migraine/other-headache-disorders/cluster-headache/) and be sure to check out OUCH for more information and resources relating to cluster headache: https://ouchuk.org/.

🏃🏻‍♀️This week in clinic we’ve seen lots of runners 🏃🏾‍♂️

From people starting their Couch to 5k, to runners preparing for the Bournemouth Bay half marathon next weekend and others building towards the London Marathon and even an ultramarathon later in the spring.

A reminder that you don’t need to be in pain to benefit from care. Preventative treatment, mobility and strength work can help keep training on track as mileage builds.

It tends to be much easier to address small issues before they turn into something that interrupts your training.

Good luck to everyone building towards their spring races 🎽

📖 Condition of the Week: Tension-type Headaches

I usually post condition of the week every Thursday, and this week’s post is dedicated in memory of George Rix. Whose neurology lectures and labs, particularly those surrounding headaches, have hugely influenced the way I practice today. His passion and the generosity with which he shared his knowledge left a lasting legacy among those fortunate enough to learn from him.

This Thursday marks a year since George sadly lost his battle with prostate cancer. In his honour, his wife Jacqui will be starting the 630-mile South West Coast Path today, to raise money and awareness for Prostate Cancer UK and UHD NHS Charity.

If you’d like to read more, support Jacqui or donate to the fundraiser, please visit her fundraising page: https://gvwhl.com/Y2WV3

Wishing Jacqui and Scrumpy all the best! Thinking of you and your family 💙

Mother’s Day is this Sunday, so I thought it was only right to give mum a little extra care 🧡

Mum has multiple sclerosis (MS), and while chiropractic doesn’t treat MS itself, it can be a helpful supportive therapy. It’s also important to remember that people with MS can still experience everyday joint and muscle issues that deserve attention too.

Mum was a holistic therapist, and as Mother’s Day approaches, it’s a big reminder that growing up surrounded by her loving healing nature is a big part of what inspired me to pursue a career where I could help people too.

Every MS journey is different, but I’m grateful I’m able to support my Mum!

What’s been in clinic this week 👇🏼

A common theme as always in clinic: postural concerns and low back pain.

But also some things people often don’t associate with chiropractic care including dizziness 😵‍💫, tingling in the fingers 🫰🏼 and ongoing knee treatment and rehab helping runners get ready for their spring races 🏃🏾‍♀️

💜 As it’s International Women’s Day, I’d also like to acknowledge and appreciate the incredible women I’m surrounded by and lucky to work alongside who inspire, continue to lead, care and make a real difference to their patients. I’m proud to be part of a profession with so many brilliant women playing such an important role.

As well as the many women I see in clinic, so many of whom give so much of themselves to juggle careers, families and so much more behind the scenes. I learn from you, laugh with you, and I feel privileged to hear your stories, successes and challenges. It means so much to have created a space where you can step away, take a moment for yourself, uninterrupted, to focus on you and your health.

I’m extremely grateful and proud to be able to run this clinic, doing what I love helping people to move and feel better. 💜

📖 Condition of the Week: Menstrual Low Back Pain

🌷 As International Women’s Day is this Sunday, I wanted to take an moment to highlight a topic that often doesn’t get the attention it deserves: women’s health and period pain 🌷

I hear often that many of us are fobbed off or told it’s “just hormones”, but menstrual symptoms including low back and pelvic pain can be debilitating.

In my little corner of the internet, I hope to raise a bit more awareness, encourage discussion and support future research, so that women can have better health outcomes. I also want to share some practical ways to manage symptoms, understand what’s normal and know when to seek help.

It’s National Careers Week 2026
A week dedicated to celebrating careers guidance, exploring pathways and helping you discover what’s possible for your future.

When I embarked upon my chiropractic career, I didn’t come from a typical science background and I initially worked in the marine industry. However, through the foundation year at .sciences.university I found a pathway into a vocational profession that felt purposeful and deeply rewarding.

During my studies and subsequent career, I’ve met people from all walks of life. Chiropractic isn’t just diverse in who enters the profession but also in who it helps and how it challenges you and where it can take your career.

👉🏼 Swipe through to see why some of my colleagues chose chiropractic and what keeps us passionate about this profession.

🎓Let National Careers Week be a reminder that your path might look different and that’s okay!
