🧠 “What is KCR… and why are people talking about it?”

If you’ve never heard of KCR (Kinetic Chain Release), you’re not alone but it’s quickly becoming one of our most popular treatments.

KCR is a gentle, structured treatment that works through the whole body from your feet all the way up to help improve alignment and reduce tension.
Because your body works as a chain.

If one part is off, everything else adapts.
Over time, that can show up as:
• Tight hips or shoulders
• Ongoing back or neck pain
• Feeling “out of line” or uneven
• Recurring aches that never fully go away

👉 KCR uses a series of simple movements and positions to help reset the body’s natural alignment without force, without cracking, and without discomfort.

It’s suitable for all ages and can help with everything from everyday aches to long-standing imbalances.
Most people walk away feeling:
✔️ More balanced
✔️ Looser
✔️ Like their body is moving more evenly again

It’s simple… but very effective.

If your body has been feeling “off” for a while, KCR might be exactly what it needs.

A powerful golf swing depends on good rotation through the hips, spine, and shoulders. When the body is restricted or out of balance, performance can suffer.
Kinetic Chain Release™ (KCR) helps restore alignment and mobility throughout the body, allowing the kinetic chain to work more effectively.
Golfers often notice improved rotation, smoother swings, and reduced tension through the back and shoulders.

We wanted to give our patients a little update.

One of our practitioners is currently recovering after being involved in a serious car accident. Thankfully she’s on the mend, but recovery takes time, so she’ll be returning to the clinic gradually and working limited days for now.

During this period, all massage appointments will be carried out by Nicole, our other experienced massage therapist, who will be continuing treatments as normal.

Our recovering practitioner will still be around the clinic and keeping an eye on things (she can’t quite help herself! 😅), helping oversee treatments while she eases back into work.

We know many of you have your preferred therapist, so we really appreciate your patience and understanding while she recovers properly.

Please bear with us during this time — we’ll do our very best to accommodate everyone and keep appointments running smoothly.

Thank you for all your continued support and kindness to our small team. 💚

Verrucas aren’t just a minor skin problem. They’re caused by a virus, which means they can spread, become painful, and last for months if left untreated. Many people try home remedies, but these often don’t fully remove the verruca and can damage healthy skin.

Seeing an expert podiatrist ensures safe, targeted treatment that tackles the problem properly, reduces discomfort, and lowers the risk of it spreading to other areas of your foot or to family members.

If you’ve got a holiday coming up, now is the perfect time to act. More walking, sandals, and swimming pools can aggravate verrucas and make them more uncomfortable. Treating them beforehand means you can enjoy your break pain free, confidently barefoot, and without worry.

Healthy feet mean a happier holiday 🐱👣✨

👣 “Fungal nails are more common than you think.”

Thickened, discoloured or crumbly toenails can appear gradually so gradually that many people don’t notice at first. Others notice, but feel embarrassed or assume nothing can be done.

Fungal nail infections don’t come from poor hygiene.

They’re often picked up in everyday places like changing rooms, shared showers, swimming pools, or simply when nails are damaged or weakened.

Once a fungus settles in, nails can become:
• Thick and difficult to cut
• Yellow, white or brown in colour
• Brittle or crumbly
• Uncomfortable in shoes
And unfortunately, they rarely clear on their own.

👉 A podiatrist can assess whether the nail changes are fungal (not all thick nails are) and guide you through treatment options that actually work.

Treatment may include:
• Professional nail care to reduce thickness and pressure
• Medical-grade topical treatments
• Advice on footwear and hygiene to prevent reinfection
• Ongoing monitoring as healthy nail regrows

Fungal nail treatment takes time but with the right plan, improvement is absolutely possible.

If you’ve been hiding your feet or avoiding open shoes because of your nails, you’re not alone and help is available.

💆 “Massage isn’t meant to be painful.”

A lot of people avoid massage because they think it has to hurt to work.
They worry it’ll be too intense, leave them sore, or feel uncomfortable.
The truth? Massage should help your body relax and recover, not make you brace for it.

Massage can:
• Ease muscle tension
• Improve circulation
• Reduce stress
• Help with headaches, tight shoulders and lower back discomfort
• Support better sleep and overall wellbeing

👉 What happens during a massage depends entirely on you.
We talk through pressure, problem areas, and what you’re hoping to get from the treatment. Nothing is forced. Nothing is rushed.
Some massages are deeply relaxing.
Some are more focused on releasing tight areas.
None should leave you feeling battered.
If something feels uncomfortable, pressure is adjusted immediately.

Many people are surprised by how calm and loose they feel afterwards — often sleeping better that night or feeling lighter for days.

Massage isn’t about “pushing through pain”.
It’s about giving your body the support it needs to let go of tension.

If you’ve been tense, stressed, or carrying aches you can’t quite shift, massage could be exactly what your body’s been asking for.

👣 “It’s just nail cutting… until it isn’t.”

Cutting your toenails sounds simple and for some people, it is.
But for many, it slowly becomes harder, more uncomfortable, or even painful.

We often see people who struggle because:
• Nails have become thickened or curved
• They can’t reach their feet comfortably
• Their eyesight isn’t what it used to be
• Nails catch, dig in, or become sore after cutting
• They’re worried about cutting too much or causing bleeding

And once a nail is cut too short, unevenly, or down the side — that’s when problems start.

👉 A podiatrist doesn’t just “trim nails”.
We assess nail shape, thickness, growth pattern and surrounding skin, reducing the risk of ingrown nails, infection and ongoing discomfort.

For many people, regular podiatry nail care means:
✔️ No pain during or after cutting
✔️ Nails that don’t catch or dig in
✔️ Less risk of infection
✔️ Peace of mind
Sometimes it’s not about ability it’s about safety and comfort.

If nail cutting has become stressful, painful, or something you keep putting off, it might be time to get a little help.

Comfortable feet start with the basics done properly.
