This lovely client had lip filler last week with me. I always endeavour to check in to make sure that the treatment is settling well and that the client is happy with the results. It's fair to say this client was more than happy with their results, which is always great to hear.

I will always manage expectations during a consultation, which is free of charge, as every client will respond differently to treatments, and no 2 results will ever be the same.

Check in from my clinic to you ... you may have noticed, but I'm not too good with social media. I'm generally busy in my day to day Nurse Practioner role as well as my aesthetics clinic. I really do rely on word of mouth, so I thank each and every one of you for your loyalty and support. It really is appreciated.

This lady came to my clinic for filler treatment as she felt she needed some natural adjustments to her lips to give them more shape and definition. You can see before (top) that the top lip didn't have much shape to the vermillion border and lacked fullness.
After (bottom), the lips look fuller, with more shape yet still natural. We also added a very small amount of filler into the marionette lines to soften the overall skin area around the lips and to achieve a more youthful appearance.

This is a perfect example to demonstrate that fillers don't have to be unatural. This lady left the clinic feeling really happy with her results and with a boost in her confidence, and whilst her friends and family will notice the difference, they won't be able to tell exactly what has been done.

A skin tag under a patients arm was niggling at them so we treated this with the Cryo Pen. This was achieved with only one treatment and by following the correct aftercare.

A consultation is required for all treatments where I can assess the estimated number of treatments required for each lesion as well as discussing realistic possible results.

** All skin lesions should be checked by your own GP prior to receiving any treatment by me. This is covered during the consultation process and is something you'll agree to prior to me undertaking treatment **

When considering whether or not any aesthetic treatment is right for you, it's important that you follow all of these steps. Treatments such as anti- wrinkle and fillers shouldn't leave you literally walking away looking like a new person. You should still leave the door as you, albeit a fresher and more rejuvenated version.

If the price seems too good to be true, it probably is, and you should think carefully about what products are being put into your body. Ask questions, find out the facts, and only seek treatments from a qualified and experienced practitioner.

Exciting news!!!

After so many people requesting this treatment, I'm excited to be taking bookings from July!

Cryotherapy is a highly effective and safe
procedure that is used to freeze and destroy benign skin
lesions. It uses liquefied nitrous oxide to destroy the tissue by freezing the cell fluid, which in turn forms ice shards that rupture the cell membrane in turn destroying the cell and the lesion.

We finally have some glorious weather, but whilst the sun is out and we all want to enjoy it, don't neglect your skin.

Sun protection is keep to maintaining the health of your skin. These are just a few tips on how to stay safe whilst still enjoying the sun. Ensure your SPF has UVA and UVB protection and try to avoid the midday sun the best that you can. The sun has many positive health factors, but don't overlook the negative ones.

If you're investing in your skin with aesthetic treatments then invest in your skin with its aftercare and protection also. Without proper care and protection, you won't see the full benefits of your treatments.
