What are the qualities of a good sound practitioner?

All wellness practitioners need to do their own regular practice that includes self-reflections. Being aware of our own “stuff” and how to process it is essential.

A good sound practitioner also needs to be a good listener to create a safe and professional space in which clients can explore their therapeutic journey without fear or anxiety.

Anyone working with sound should have a good relationship with their instruments too as no two instruments are ever identical. This comes with practice and musical knowledge.

The final element is that practitioner should have had in depth, professional training. This helps them know which playing techniques create certain sounds and how to create a sound session that “lives and breathes” rather than one that falls flat.

We ensure that any BAST alumni leave our training courses fully ready for the world of sound with a host of safe, practiced, therapeutic practices under their belt.

In a world that moves so fast, our nervous systems rarely get the chance to truly slow down.

My sound sessions are played gently and with great care, allowing the body and mind to settle naturally. I never layer instruments heavily — each sound is offered with space, so the nervous system can feel held, safe and supported.

I’m trained in therapeutic sound and work with a deep understanding of how sound affects the nervous system.

Upcoming sessions:

I just wanted to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who came yesterday and allowed themselves to fully relax into the sound bath. Hearing that it felt both deeply relaxing and energising at the same time truly means so much to me. Your kind feedback always touches my heart, and I’m so grateful to be part of this beautiful monthly ritual for you.

A special thank you to my husband, who quietly supports me with so much of the behind-the-scenes work — I couldn’t do this without you. And to dear Vineta, thank you for blending so naturally into this work of love. I so appreciate the gentle care you offer after each session, serving herbal tea and holding that soft, nurturing space. That closing moment feels incredibly special and is so deeply valued by many.

Our next Wootton sound bath is on 11th March and I’m already looking forward to welcoming you back. The booking link is in my bio if you’d like to secure an early bird ticket. And as always, feel free to message me with any questions.

With love,
Lily 🌿

Self-love, for me, is not about doing more.
It’s about finding inner silence in a very loud world.

Sound has a gentle way of guiding us there and supporting the nervous system, softening the body,
and creating space where we can simply be.

If this resonates, stay until the end of the video to see my slightly silly, playful side too 😄 Because healing can be deep and light-hearted.

Thank you to everyone who trusted us and for the beautiful feedback.
And a big thank you to the Albatross Travel team for taking such wonderful care of their employees.

So much joy! ✨

Thank you to everyone who came and shared such beautiful reflections.

Some of you felt deeply relaxed like never before, others described it as a gentle lift into a lighter place within, some simply loved it, and many of you noticed a sense of calm settling inside.

I’m so grateful for each of you — those who return and those joining for the first time. Seeing your softened faces and feeling the shared stillness after the session is such a gift.

Next sound journey: 11th February
Until then, dear sound travellers 🤍

Thank you so much to everyone who came last night, and for all your beautiful feedback. My heart is truly full of joy.

Some of you shared that it was “so relaxing like never before,” for others it felt “like a gentle lift towards a lighter place within,” some of you “loved it, loved it, loved it,” and others simply noticed that you “felt calmer inside.”

I appreciate every single one of you, those who return and those who are new. Seeing your beautiful, softened faces after the session and hearing your reflections fills me with so much joy. Each time, I find myself in this deeply happy place, full of gratitude and satisfaction for what I do and for what it creates for you.

See you next time, my lovely sound travellers ✨

Our next journey will be on 11th February.

Where in your body do you feel the vibration?
For me, this magical gong resonates deeply in my heart.

The gong is a powerful yet gentle instrument that helps shift old, stuck patterns and belief systems, while also supporting physical and emotional pain.

If you’d like to experience the power of sound, I offer monthly group sound baths at Wootton’s beautiful village hall, as well as 1:1 sound therapy sessions.
