Care England are running a survey about people's views of social care. This is open to people who receive support, their families and those who work in the sector. The report will be shared with the government.
Please see below the email from Professor Martin Green which contains the link to the survey and gives more details. Please complete the survey so your views are heard.
Dear members,
I am writing to ask for your support in an important piece of work. We have an upcoming report, in partnership with PLMR, that will help reframe the narrative around adult social care, showcasing the brilliant work done across the sector despite significant challenges. The report will be launched in Parliament on 7th May, to MPs, Peers and key stakeholders across the healthcare sector.
Care England has launched a survey to gather real experiences of social care - from those who receive care, those who support loved ones, and those working across the sector. The findings will directly inform our written report.
For too long, social care has been positioned narrowly in national debate. Social care is critical national infrastructure: it enables people to live independent lives, supports millions of people to be economically active and underpins the NHS.
At a time when the Baroness Louise Casey review has called for a “national moment of reckoning” on adult social care, there is a real opportunity to ensure that the voices of those who know the system best are heard clearly and directly by decision-makers.
We are asking you to:
• Share the survey widely with residents, families, and your workforce
• Encourage participation across your networks
• Help ensure that lived experience is at the heart of this work
The survey covers key issues including:
• Experiences of receiving and providing care
• The role of social care in people’s lives and communities
• How well services work with the NHS
• What policymakers need to understand and do differently
Every response will strengthen our ability to make a compelling, evidence-based case for change.
You can access and share the survey here: https://app.wegather.info/d103d6af-73a7-47cc-80a8-718390d301d9
This is a moment where we can collectively influence how social care is seen - not just within the sector, but at the highest levels of government. I would strongly encourage you to take part and support this work.

Yours sincerely,
