It's just over a month from Conor's passing from here to be with his Lord in glory.

From myself and Conor's family we would like to thank you all for the love you all hold for Conor and the support we have had from many of you over this time. It is very much appreciated.

Thank you all for the donations made towards the Marie Curie Hospice in Belfast. We lifted just over £1000 which will go to help the quality of care they give. Their care was and still is in our minds an incredible service of love and dedication that was truly second to none. Absolutely nothing was a problem and everything was done with one thing and that was comfort and relaxation for Conor.

A massive thank you to Owen and all the members of Downpatrick Presbyterian Church. From the first day we walking into it, they walked into our hearts and us into theirs, along with such welcome and unfaltering service from Owen. That all has had eternal consequences that will only be seen at that great day.

Could I personally thank Gabriel who always supplies incredibly beautiful flowers and has great understanding to what we are looking for.

And could we give our heart felt thanks and gratitude to Charles Rourke & Sons Funeral Directors for the ease, calm, organised manner in which Conor and his remains were taken care of in all aspects of his parting. You are a real credit to all you represent and made us all so welcome, enabling us just that peace to be able to compose our selves worry free.

God bless you all.

Mark, and Conor's family, Ann, Geraldine, Matthew and his extended family circle.

The family of the late Bernie Smyth wish to express our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to all who attended her funeral, sent Mass cards and flowers, and offered their kind words, prayers, and support during this difficult time.

We would especially like to thank the Nursing Staff of Ward 2 at the Downe Hospital, Downpatrick Respiratory Team, District Nursing Team, Carers, Cleaners, and Gabbies Pharmacy in Killyleagh for their exceptional care and kindness to Mum. Your compassion and professionalism brought great comfort to Mum and to us.

Our sincere thanks also to all who helped in kind and practical ways — those who assisted with clearing the house, and to those who provided an exceptional level of personal support and friendship to me in the weeks before and after Mum’s passing. Your generosity, kindness and compassion will never be forgotten. Thank you.

Thanks to all who donated to a charity that was very close to mums heart… Guide Dogs for the Blind. It is greatly appreciated.

Mum’s Month’s Mind Mass will be held on Saturday evening, 8th November, at St Marys Star of the Sea Chapel Killyleagh.

All are warmly welcome to attend.

With sincere gratitude, The Family of Bernie Smyth

HARRY DEGAN

The late Harry Degan's wife Mandy, along with his children and siblings, wish to express their gratitude to all those who supported them during their recent bereavement, especially those who called to their home, sent cards, flowers, online tributes, messages and attended the Funeral Service, both live and online. To those who helped and contributed to the wake, thank you, it couldn't have happened without your tireless help - Harry would have loved it.

My personal thanks to all those family members and friends who carried Harry on his final journey from the family's home through the village he always loved, to the Chapel and then onto to his final place of rest. He would have been so proud.

This chapter of Harry's life could not be closed without acknowledging:

The Ulster Hospital & Respiratory Clinic - Our thanks go to Mr Hewitt and the nurses working in the Respiratory Clinic, firstly for the support, care and help Harry received which allowed him to keep his independence and dignity to the end, by helping him during his stay at the Ulster Hospital and enabling him to get home to his family. Thanks to all the staff working at the Ulster Hospital's Respiratory and Cardiac teams on Wards 3B and 3C during Harry's final weeks. He enjoyed the banter and humour during a challenging and trying time. Your patience, care and efforts to keep him with us will not be forgotten. To all those at The Cancer Centre at Belfast City Hospital, especially Dr Crockett, thank you for doing all you could to help Harry. You gave him the hope he needed to keep going.

Chris Quinn, Funeral Minister - For leading prayers at the wake and delivering the Funeral Service both at the Church and graveside. Your help, kind words and support throughout were greatly appreciated.

Bernie and Marty Campbell - The family are eternally grateful for the help given to select the right music for Harry's final farewell and for delivering it in such a beautiful and moving way throughout the Service.

Michael McCarthy and his team for the splendid food provided at the Teconnaught Gaelic Club and the staff at the Teconnaught Gaelic Club for providing the final venue.

Finally, sincere thanks to Charles Rourke and Sons Funeral Directors, for their advice, professionalism and help in giving Harry his final journey to rest.
To try to thank all those who showed friendship and support both during and at the end of Harry's life would be impossible, but please accept this acknowledgement from all his family who it has helped, and who greatly appreciate it.

A Month’s Mind Mass will take place in Church of The Immaculate Conception & St. Joseph, Crossgar on Sunday, 9th November at 10.30 am.
