The family of the late Gerard Rice wish to thank everyone who sympathised with them in the recent sad bereavement of their wonderful and loving father, father-in-law, grandfather and great grandfather. We as a family appreciate all the support and prayers we received.

Our sincere thanks to Fr. Eugene O’Neill for conducting Gerard’s Requiem Mass and special thanks to Sarah McVeigh for her beautiful music.
Thank you to Downpatrick Russell Gaelic Union for the use of their Clubrooms for refreshments after the funeral.

Our thanks to Charles Rourke & Sons Funeral Directors for their professional and dignified handing of Gerard’s funeral arrangements and for the support they gave to us as a family, at this sad time.

Gerard’s Month’s Mind Mass will take place on Sunday 3rd May at 10.30am
in St. Patrick’s Church, Downpatrick.

McMULLAN, MARTIN JAMES, 19th April 2026, passed away peacefully at the Ulster Hospital, after a short illness surrounded by his family, son of the late Bridget and James, brother of Marie and the late Kevin and Patrick, uncle to Michael, Karen and Laura, and husband Stephen. Cherished great uncle to Ryan and Charlie. May he rest in peace.

Requiem Mass will be held in St. Joseph’s Church, Carrickmannon on Wednesday 22nd April at 11.00am.

Interment afterwards in The Good Shepherd Cemetery, Kilcairn.

Martin will be reposing in Charles Rourke and Sons Funeral Home, 51 Church Street, Downpatrick, BT30 6EH with family present on Tuesday 21st April from 7.00pm – 8.00pm.

Loved and missed by his entire family circle at home and abroad. While he is no longer with us, his spirit and soul will remain with us forever.

CASEMENT, 19th April 2026, BERNADETTE (Bernie), peacefully at Corriewood Nursing Home, Castlewellan, dearly beloved daughter of the late Elizabeth and William Casement, much loved sister of Celia (Laverty) and a dear aunt. May she rest in peace.

Bernie will be reposing at her sister Celia’s home on Tuesday 21st April 3.00pm – 8.00pm and Wednesday 22nd April 2.00pm – 8.00pm.

Requiem Mass will be held in St Macartan's Church, Loughinisland on Thursday 23rd April at 10.00am followed by interment in the adjoining Churchyard.

Brian Quinn RIP

We, the family of the late Brian Quinn, wish to express our sincere and heartfelt thanks and appreciation to our family, and friends who smypathised with, and supported us during our recent loss.

We are deeply grateful to all those who sent flowers, food, mass cards, sympathy cards, messages of condolences and to those who called at the house. A special thanks to everyone who helped us in any way during this difficult time, and to all who came from near and far to attend Brians funeral. Your kindness and support have been a great comfort to us during this extremely difficult time.

We would also like to thank the NI Ambulance Service for their attendance at the time of Brian’s death.

Sincere thanks to Fr Conway for the dignified and moving service he conducted and to Matthew Campbell for the beautiful singing at the funeral service. A special thanks to Murphy’s Bar Downpatrick for the refreshments following the funeral.

We also extend our sincere thanks to everyone at Charles Rourke & Sons Funeral Directors for their kindness, compassion and professionalism shown to us during this difficult time.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust this acknowledgment will be accepted as an expression of our sincere appreciation to all.
