Following a committal for family and close friends, a Service of Thanksgiving will be held in Lissara Presbyterian Church, Crossgar, BT30 9EE on Wednesday 24th December at 1:00pm.

CASEMENT, 16th December 2025, MAURA (nee Morgan), peacefully at home, 38 Downpatrick Road Crossgar, dearly beloved wife of Jimmy, much loved mother of Shaunagh, Gareth, Paul and Blagheen, mother in law of Mary, Jaclyn, Chris and the late Michael, loving granny of Jessica, Rebecca, Austin, Luca, Leo and the late Connor. May she Rest In Peace.

Funeral from her late home on Sunday 21st December at 12.30pm to Church of the Immaculate Conception and St Joseph, Crossgar for Requiem Mass at 1.00pm.

A private cremation will take place at a later date.

Maura will be reposing at her late home on Friday 19th December and Saturday 20th December between 4.00pm and 9.00pm.

MAUREEN ROONEY (Nee Bell)

The family of the late Maureen Rooney RIP would like to express sincere appreciation to our family, friends, neighbours, colleagues, and all who have sympathised with and
supported us during our recent bereavement. Your kindness and support provide comfort during this sad time.

We thank Fr Eugene O’ Neill, Fr Ciaran Dallat and Deacon Niall O’Hara, for their pastoral care and for their celebration of the funeral services. We thank the Eucharistic Ministers and those who helped within the Church. Thanks also to Niall O’Hara for his
beautiful singing.

We thank all who called to Mum’s home, brought food, telephoned, sent Mass and Sympathy Cards, letters and messages of support, donated in lieu of flowers to Marie Curie, or helped in any way.
For those who joined us at the church for the Requiem Mass; for those who travelled long distances; and those who joined us in the Requiem Mass via we**am, we are truly grateful.

Thanks also to the dedicated health and care professionals who looked after mum; with our sincere gratitude to Dr Jane Creaney and the team in Stream Street Surgery, Downpatrick, the District Nursing Team, Lydian Care assistants and Marie Curie for the
care, comfort and kindness to Mum and us all.

Thanks to Charles Rourke & Sons Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional way in which they carried out Mum’s funeral arrangements, and for their support and kindness at this difficult time.

As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our sincere appreciation.

Mum’s Month’s Mind Mass will take place on Monday 12th January 2026 at 7.30 pm in St. Patrick’s Church, Downpatrick.

GORDON, Ken

Much loved Husband, Dad, Brother, Brother-in-law, Uncle, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather and friend to many, died on 11th December 2025 at Downe Hospital.

Service of Thanksgiving for Ken's life will be held in Lissara Presbyterian Church, Crossgar on Wednesday 17th December at 2.30 pm.

TONEY 10th DECEMBER 2025, ANN (nee O’Neill), peacefully at Cedar Court, Downpatrick, dearly beloved wife of the late Marcellus and much loved mother of Paul, Maurice, Seamus and Eamonn, mother-in-law of Sharon, Jean, Pauline and Elizabeth, a loving grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. May she rest in peace.

Requiem Mass will be held in St. Nicholas’ Church, Ardglass on Saturday 13th December at 10.00am. Interment afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery.

Ann will be reposing in Charles Rourke and Sons Funeral Home 51 Church Street, Downpatrick, BT30 6EH on Friday 12th December from 6.00pm – 8.00pm, with family present.
