In practice, I often speak about the nervous system, not in a complicated or clinical way, but as a way of understanding why some movement leaves us feeling grounded and energised, while other types can leave us feeling overstimulated or depleted. At the centre of this conversation is the breath.

Imbolc & St Brigid
Light, Renewal & the Sacred Flame 🕯

Today marks Imbolc, an ancient Celtic festival that sits midway between the winter solstice and the spring equinox. Traditionally celebrated as the first stirring of spring, Imbolc symbolises the return of the light, purification and the quiet preparation for new growth, even when the landscape still appears dormant.

Imbolc is inseparable from St Brigid. Known as the Celtic goddess and later a Christian saint, she stands at the very heart of this festival. Honoured as a guardian of healing, creativity, fertility, poetry and the home, Brigid is remembered as an Irish medieval feminist, humanitarian, saint and quiet rebel, carrying both fierce protection and deep nurture. Her presence reminds us that renewal begins with care, rest and intention, not force.

This day invites us to move gently, tend the inner flame and honour what is slowly awakening within.

✨ Simple ways to honour Imbolc & St Brigid:

🕯 Light a candle and set one gentle intention
🔥 Tend your home, body or energy with care
🌾 Create without pressure: write, move, express
💧 Cleanse hands or face mindfully, releasing what feels heavy
🌱 Seed an intention and trust what’s quietly growing

Imbolc reminds us that growth begins long before it is visible. As the light returns - softly and steadily, know that is enough ✨️

We're still Wintering ❄️ and we don't need to have 2026 completed by the end of the month.

Know that it's fine to go at a slower pace this time of year. You're just settling into a New Year continuing to reflect on the past and assess where you want to go. You also don't need a big list of goals, maybe one is enough.

So instead of rushing, take a beat.

Pause. Reflect. Reset.

Be present with your life, we don't know when it will all end. It's such a precious gift so enjoy every moment!

Happy Sunday everyone, have a beautiful day 🌿

We live in a world that only shows perfection as a reflection of success and its wrong.

We are all imperfect, which is what's makes us who we are. Perfectionsim is exhausting and doesn't serve anyone as it's so hard to live up to.

What about doing your best and that being good enough?

We can still strive for success by doing our best and reaching goals without the pressure of being perfect.

This video is not perfect and it's not meant to be, it's me enjoying a pose I love on the Reformer. So, don't let the idea of having to be perfect at something hold you back from reaching for your goals.

The beauty in our world and each other is our imperfections.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone ♥️

P.s. if you haven't read the four agreements go do it 📚

When thinking about how often you move your body? The answer is daily, but how often to visit a studio or particular class can vary.

Think about:
• Affordability - what can you afford to spend each month?
• Goals - what's your why? What results do you want?
• Time - how much time do you have in your week to dedicate to a class? Walking daily is also great to help you with your goals.

Try to think about variety in your week, getting movement daily in any form that is affordable, goal orientated and time efficient for your lifestyle. Don't think about "have to" mindset, think about your individual circumstances 🙌

I hope this helps ✨️
