We’re delighted to share that our Lurgan branch has just completed its latest RQIA inspection with no requirements and no recommendations.

This means every part of our service was found to be fully compliant, with no improvements needed. It reflects the consistent quality, care and professionalism our team brings to their work every single day.

A huge thank you to Patricia, our brilliant Registered Manager, for her leadership and dedication, and to the entire Lurgan team for the care, attention and heart they bring to everything they do.

Congratulations to our Registered Manager Patricia Butler and our Compliance Officer Barbara Morley who graduated on Friday, after successfully completing their Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care with Southern Regional College.

The graduation ceremony was held at the Armagh City Hotel and marked a brilliant milestone in their professional journey.

We couldn’t be prouder to see them recognised for all the hard work they’ve put in. It’s a great achievement and a reflection of their continued commitment to learning and leadership in care.

Domiciliary care has long been seen as a female-dominated profession. But times are changing, and more men are stepping into care roles, breaking stereotypes and bringing unique benefits to the people we support.

Like all great carers, they bring empathy, patience and the ability to connect, sometimes through shared interests, life experiences, or simply a good conversation.

And while physical support is sometimes part of the role, the real impact comes from building trust, showing up with compassion, and making people feel safe and valued.

Care isn't defined by who you are, but by how you show up. The growing diversity in domiciliary care is helping to create richer, more responsive support for those who need it most.
