The family of the late James Kelly would like to express our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to all those who sympathised with us during our recent bereavement.
Thank you to everyone who cared for James during his illness across hospitals and medical centres including Portstewart family practice, Altnagelvin and Coleraine hospitals, and Bradley's pharmacy.
A special thank you to Fr McCaul for his spiritual support over the wake and for celebrating the beautiful Requiem mass. To James' dear friend Monsignor Joey Donnelly who travelled to concelebrate his funeral mass. To Fr Madden and Fr Paddy Doherty for their prayers and support. To Patricia Moran for her beautiful singing and music. To Brigid McNamee sacristan for preparing the chapel.
We would like to extend our thanks to Michael and Noreen O’Kane Funeral Directors for their guidance and support. Their professional and personal service and use of their new funeral home for the wake was much appreciated.
Thank you to family, friends and neighbours who supported us at this time. To those who brought food and helped at the wake. To everyone who sent sympathy and mass cards, texts or phone messages. To all who attended the week and funeral and watched online. A special thanks to all those who travelled long distances in inclement weather from Galway, Donegal, Portstewart, Belfast, etc.
A special word of thanks to Fr McGuckien of Star of the Sea, Portstewart for his spiritual support to James in hospital and over recent years. To Fr McGirr and Fr McCullagh, who supported him previously.
Thank you to all who prepared the grave and to all who assisted in carrying James's remains to his place of rest.
Thanks to Colin Doyle and staff at the Shepherd's Rest for the refreshments after the funeral.
To Gary of Devlin Media for streaming the funeral, which was appreciated by family away from home and by friends and family who could not attend his funeral.
Remembering all his friends in Portstewart who visited, helped and supported him over these past few years since the death of his dear wife Cath. A special thank you to Catherine Johnston.
Thank you to everyone for your support at this time. It would be impossible to thank everyone individually, but we hope this acknowledgement is accepted as a means of our appreciation and gratitude.
James' month's mind mass will take place in the Holy Rosary Church, Draperstown, on Friday 6th February at 7:30 pm.
