As we lovingly remember Pa**ie, the Farrell family, Caitlin and her family wish to acknowledge the exceptional support shown to us upon Pa**ie's passing.
A sincere thank you to family, relatives, neighbours and Pa**ies' numerous friends who called at the house and helped so much during the wake. Your presence, your kindness, your mass cards, text messages, online condolences, stories and tributes meant so much to us, and continues to bring us so much comfort. We will be forever grateful and humbled to know that Pa**ie was so well thought of by so many.
Thanks to all who helped with the organisation of the wake. To those who brought food and refreshments including Sperrin Bakery, Delicious and Fidelma, the neighbours and Sperrin Metal for providing car parking facilities, and to Danny McAuley for sorting out the much needed outside lighting .
We are so grateful to all who attended the Funeral Mass, and to those who joined us online. Pa**ie would have been so proud of the Guard of Honour from his much loved clubs. We thank both Draperstown Celtic FC and Ballinascreen GAC for this touching gesture.
Our sincere thanks to Fr. Madden for such a thoughtful and personal Requiem Mass. Thank you so much to Bernie and Sean for the outstanding singing and music and also Marie for her help with arrangements in the church.
A special thank you to Lawrence, Eamonn and Mickey for taking time to compose the Eulogy and to all who contributed to it. Thanks to Pearse for reading what was a fitting and true reflection of Pa**ie's personality, sporting skills and the loves in his life.
An additional thank you to Ballinascreen GAC for preparing and hosting the funeral dinner.
Throughout his illness, Pa**ie received so much medical assistance. We thank all the agencies who were involved in his excellent care. The Home Helps and Community Nurses who delivered such supportive and friendly care. Thanks to Dr. Michael Logan, Dr. Livingstone and Dr. Small for their unfailing, prompt medical attention whenever Pa**ie needed it. We also really appreciate the extensive treatments administered by the team of doctors and nurses of Ward A1 in Antrim Area Hospital.
We want to express our sincere gratitude to the management, committed nursing team and all the staff at Brooklands Nursing Home for the dedicated medical services and physical comfort they afforded Pa**ie in his final months.
A special thank you to Pa**ies' friends who visited him during his hospital stays and time in Brooklands. We know how much this meant to him and we are extremely grateful to you all.
The Farrell family extend their heartfelt gratitude to Caitlin and the McPeake family for granting Pa**ie his wish to have his final resting place in Lavey beside Eileen.
Lastly, thank you to Kevin Murray and Michael McDade of Kevin Murray Funeral Directors for their support, respect, and professionalism shown throughout the funeral and burial, and for taking the extra measures to accommodate Pa**ie's final wishes.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our sincere appreciation.
Pa**ie's Month's Mind Mass will be celebrated on Friday 6th March at 7:30 pm in Holy Rosary Chapel Draperstown.
