The Laurels The Laurels Care Home offers residential and dementia care in Draycott near Cheddar.

The Laurels Residential Care Home, situated in the village of Draycott, at the foot of the Mendips Hills, provides high quality person centred care in a comfortable home-from-home rural village atmosphere. With twenty-one bedrooms, there is a comfortable home from home feel with staff available to provide care in a safe and secure setting. Residents retain their local connections and interests with regular visits from community groups and day trips. Home-cooked nutritious food provided by our cook caters to all needs and preferences.

What a Fabulous day we’ve had! 🌸 A lovely trip to Cadbury Garden Centre filled with smiles, laughter, and a spot of shopping, We even bought a couple of bath fizzers ! Before heading home we ended with a stop at Tuckers Fish n' Chips in Cheddar Gorge for a delicious lunch! 🐟🍟 A perfect mix of friendship, fresh air, and happy memories. 💕

A cosy autumn day at The Laurels! 🍂☕️ This morning was all about a little pampering fresh hair by our hairdresser, Freshly painted nails, and plenty of smiles all round. 💇‍♀️💅
We then brought out our competive side along with lots of laughter as we gathered for some friendly table football a mix of fun, joy, and togetherness on a chilly autumn day. ❤️⚽️

This morning, we attended the Draycott Royal British Legion Remembrance Sunday Church Service . A moving tribute to honour and remember all those who gave their lives for our freedom. 🌺🇬🇧 Lest we forget 🇬🇧

🍂 October – What a Busy Month!
It’s been a wonderful month at The Laurels! We enjoyed autumn sunshine at Chew Valley Lake, a fun steam train trip, and a visit to the zoo.
We decorated our Harvest Hamper for the Cheddar Valley Food Bank and ended with a spooktacular Halloween party full of tricks, treats, and fancy dress! 🎃👻

We made the most of the beautiful autumn sunshine with a trip to Chew Valley Lake, taking in the scenery. Of course, no outing is complete without a treat ! Melissa (Home Manager), Louise (Deputy Manager), and Katie (Wellbeing Lead) are taking on an incredible challenge — climbing Mount Snowdon in the dark to reach the summit just in time for sunrise! 🌅⛰️
