Happy New Year from us all at The Laurels 💫
Here’s a 2025 Flashback 💜

2025 has been a truly special year at The Laurels, filled with meaningful moments, shared laughter and a strong sense of togetherness. From unforgettable Make-A-Wish experiences at Ashton Gate to fun days out ice skating, every moment has helped create lasting memories for our residents, families and team.

We’ve loved welcoming everyone to our Family Fun Day and celebrating a wonderful Big Family Christmas. Along the way, we’ve marked birthdays, enjoyed Wimbledon together, and most importantly, celebrated one another and the connections that make our home so special.

We would like to say a heartfelt thank you to all our families and our local community for your continued support 💜
Most of all, thank you to our amazing staff for your commitment, care and compassion, which make The Laurels such a warm, supportive and happy place to call home.

This morning the children joined us for our crafts session and what better way to get excited for Christmas week! 🎄
Together with our Residents’ grandchildren & staff children we put our art skills to the test! We definitely got super messy with the paint, and enjoyed special moments of laughter, creativity, and togetherness. Bringing generations together, sharing smiles, and making festive memories 🤍✨

We put on Our Christmas Jumpers and wrapped up warm, and went ICE SKATING ! We all laughed until our sides hurt ❄️
There was many giggles, wobbles and slippery moments.
Back home to a warm, hearty casserole and full bellies ! Pretty sure we’ve found our new Christmas tradition ❤️ And to top the morning off was Tony’s comment “ Thank You , Iv always wanted to try that”

Our morning was filled with Christmas music and chatter. Whilst we made the cutest little snowmen using socks, rice and lots of imagination! ⛄️💫

✨ Christmas can be a difficult time for families trying to split into many different places and having many people too Visit. For those whos loved ones are living in Care Homes it can feel even more difficult.
So This year, we wanted to create one meaningful, Memorable and truly heart warming day for our residents and their families…
And we did just that! We even had a few happy Tears from our residents and staff 🎄❤️

💫 The Big Laurels Family Christmas 💫
Yesterday We all left The Laurels and headed to Draycott Hall, where we shared a delicious 3-course Christmas lunch ! Complete with festive hats, sparkly outfits Christmas Jumpers and a few Christmas cocktail’s 🍸

We were treated to beautiful performances from Cheddar Valley Singers, Joyful Voices, and the incredibly talented Chris Holden.
We danced, we sang, and we celebrated what matters most… FAMILY. 💜

A special thank you to our local MP Tessa Munt, who kindly helped serve meals and spent time chatting with everyone 🥂

🎁 Our Deepest Thank you goes to our amazing staff team for your Care, Compassion and support . You helped create a truly wonderful day as always. We couldn’t do it without you.
