Everyone has taken such pride in choosing gifts, filling the boxes with care, and adding those special touches that make all the difference. 💛

Today, our shoeboxes have officially begun their journey to bring smiles and a little festive magic to those who need it most. 🌍✨

A great start to the week at Acorn! 🍯

One of ours groups enjoyed making traditional Yorkshire Parkin - a classic autumn bake that filled the centre with the wonderful aroma of ginger and treacle. 🍰 Activities like this bring everyone together, encouraging conversation, teamwork, and a real sense of achievement. 🤝 Baking also supports sensory engagement, confidence building, and overall wellbeing. 🌿

🎁 Operation Christmas Child is about to begin! 🎁

We’re so excited to be taking part once again - something we’ve proudly supported for the last two Christmases. 🌟

This marks the start of our Christmas preparations for 2025! 🎄 Everyone at Acorn Personal Development Centre has loved contributing their time to this meaningful project over the years. 💖

It’s a wonderful reminder that people around the world live in different ways, with unique cultures and circumstances — and that even a small act of kindness can make a big difference. 🌍✨

🎃 Everything Pumpkin at Acorn Day Centre! 🎃

We’ve been fully embracing the joys of autumn this week 🍂

Our Halloween Party was a hit, and the kitchen’s been filled with the most delicious seasonal aromas! 🧁✨
Everyone joined in baking fresh Pumpkin Muffins and toasting pumpkin seeds — some simply salted, others drizzled with maple syrup and spice.

Another group cooked up a hearty pot of Pumpkin & Bacon Soup, filling the centre with that warm, comforting scent of autumn. 🥣🍞

🎃 Acorn Day Centre Halloween Party 2025 🎃

Our Halloween celebrations were frightfully good fun this year! 👻

Everyone tucked into a spooky buffet featuring Graveyard Hamwiches, Cheese & Scream Sandwiches, Spooky Slice Pizza, Witches’ Finger Spring Rolls, Bao of the Dead, Pigs in Blankets of Doom, Trick or Meat Rolls, Creepy Crawly Salad, Chicken Chillers, and Spider Cookies 🕷️🍪

Some of us dressed up, while others kept it cosy — and that was absolutely fine! The day was all about laughter, good food, and great company.

We finished the party with a round of Halloween Bingo, with treat bags for the winners and delicious Pumpkin Lattes to round off the afternoon. ☕🎃
