Last week, AKW volunteers Sara and Jo visited Astley Hall Care Home in Stourport-upon-Severn, where they helped residents get into the spooky spirit by carving pumpkin lanterns and hosting a Halloween quiz 👻

According to Stroke Association, 240 people in the UK will have their lives changed today due to a stroke.

World Stroke Day 2025 focuses on post-stroke recovery, which can be a long, difficult journey for both the person who had the stroke, and their loved ones. Our 'Guide to Bathrooms that Aid Stroke Rehabilitation' offers practical design advice to make using the bathroom safer after a stroke.

Designed for use with the AKW Bidet, the Sensor Operated Switch includes a fully customisable, large integrated button as well as a contact-free sensor, which enables people with limited dexterity to activate the bidet’s rear wash, female wash or air-dry functions by hand, closed fist, elbow or foot.

In July, seven volunteers from AKW in Droitwich Spa lent a hand at The Animal Pantry in Redditch.

AKW’s Stuart, Mark and Demi spent their day assisting the team with DIY tasks and helping with feeding the animals. The following day, Lauren, Sophie, Jennifer and Lucy supported the day-to-day operations of the farm.

Two weeks ago, we proudly supported our second charity golf day of the year in aid of Children’s Hospices Across London (CHaL) ⛳

Hosted at the beautiful De Vere Wokefield Estate Golf Club in Reading, teams enjoyed 18 holes of golf, a Beat the Pro challenge, auction and raffle, raising £10,217.50 for an incredible cause 💙

We're thrilled to announce that DLP Limited and AKW Medi-Care Ltd, both part of the AKW Holdings Group, have been awarded platinum and gold medals from sustainability experts EcoVadis following their October 2025 assessment.

These fantastic ratings place the companies in the top 1% and 5% of all companies assessed globally, with AKW also placed in the top 2% of businesses in our industry who submitted themselves for assessment.
