🎆 Spectacular Fireworks Night at Dorset House! 🎆

What an unforgettable evening! Residents, families, and staff came together to celebrate with amazing entertainment from Elvis, who wowed everyone before the fireworks and even took photos with residents and guests. 🎤✨

Afterwards, Tom expertly set off the fireworks, creating a magical display that had everyone talking — many saying it was the best we’ve ever had! 💥

🍔🥤 Meanwhile, Marion and Karen hosted a fabulous barbecue, and guests enjoyed doughnuts, chocolate cream, marshmallows, tea, coffee, milkshakes, and squash — the perfect treats to complement a wonderful evening.

🧩 Welcome to the Team, Zara! 💛

We’re delighted to welcome Zara, our newest member of staff here at Dorset House! From her very first day, she’s been made to feel right at home — thanks to two of our wonderful residents who have taken her under their wing. 💕

This week, they’ve been teaching her the finer points of dominoes, sharing plenty of laughter (and maybe a few tips on how to win a game or two! 😉).

It’s been lovely to see such genuine friendships forming and to watch everyone enjoying some quality time together. Moments like these truly show what makes Dorset House such a special place — a real sense of family, warmth, and community. 🏡✨

🎃 Halloween Fun at Dorset House! 👻

This weekend, our Dorset House residents got into the spooky spirit with a fun-filled afternoon of pumpkin carving and Halloween baking! 🧁🎃

Everyone enjoyed showing off their creative side — from carving friendly (and a few frightful!) pumpkin faces to decorating delicious Halloween-inspired cakes and cupcakes. The home was filled with laughter, the smell of freshly baked treats, and plenty of festive fun. 🕸️🧡

Elvis took a break from Vegas and paid a special visit to Dorset House, delighting our residents with his classic hits and unforgettable charm. 🕺💛

It was a morning full of sing-alongs, smiles, and memories, as everyone enjoyed a little slice of rock ‘n’ roll right here at home! 🎤✨

🎶 A Musical Afternoon at Dorset House! 🎶

We were delighted to welcome the Droitwich Community Choir this afternoon. They filled our home with beautiful music and warm smiles — even providing song sheets so our residents could join in the singing! 💕

It was extra special to see a couple of our relatives performing in the choir — such a lovely connection for everyone to enjoy. Thank you to all who made the afternoon so joyful! 🌷🎵

🎉 Birthday Outing for June at Dorset House 🎉

Instead of a traditional birthday gift, we decided to take June out shopping so she could pick her own makeup – and what a wonderful time she had! 💄✨

Highlights of the day:
🛍️ Exploring the shops and choosing her favourites
📸 Taking fun photos along the way – including a snap with a gentleman from Droitwich who shared a connection to Mayflower pilgrim Edward Winslow!

🍰 Back at Dorset House, we celebrated with cake and tea.

It was lovely to see June enjoying a truly independent birthday experience, picking exactly what she wanted and making memories along the way. 💛

🚌 Minibus Adventure! 🚌

We had a wonderful day out in the minibus, enjoying some sightseeing before popping into town for a cup of tea and some cake. ☕🍰

Brenda treated herself to a few bits and bobs, while Margaret simply enjoyed being out in the fresh air and the mini bus ride – she even complimented Lisa's driving! 🚗💨

What more could you ask for than a super day out with fabulous residents?

Every Monday, Gary heads off to the Headway Day Centre – something he really looks forward to! It’s a wonderful opportunity to make new friends, explore new horizons, and be part of a wider community. 💛

He recently created a brilliant pumpkin artwork 🎃 and is excited to move on to woodwork in the future. 🪵✨

We’re so proud to support Gary in accessing this placement – it’s all about enriching lives, opening doors, and creating meaningful experiences. 💕

Today our residents got moving with a fantastic exercise class led by Gfitness 🌟

From energising exercises to exercise-themed games, everyone joined in with smiles, laughter, and plenty of enthusiasm. It was wonderful to see our residents keeping active while having such fun together.

They’re already looking forward to welcoming Gfitness back for another great session! 🙌
