Health on the shelf!
Silly Mummy left her hot straighteners on the bedside table near where Snail and Whale were playing!
Did you know they can take around 45 mins to cool down fully?!
Poor Whale burnt his fin – ouch! Luckily Doc was on hand to run the burn under cool, running water for 20 minutes, then he applied some burn gel and wrapped it in cling film! Whale doesn’t like plastic in his Ocean, but he knows it’s the best thing for a burn!
Remember with burns
Don’t apply any lotions, potions or creams to the burn
Always get a burn checked out at minor injuries or A&E
If clothing is stuck to a burn, leave it!

Health on the shelf
Poor Elsa was having a snowball fight with Doc the Elf when one hit her on the head. Luckily Doc knew what to do!
He helped her bump go down with an ice pack and promised to keep a close eye on her and monitor for signs of concussion.
He will let Elsa go to bed as usual but will check her regularly to make sure she is rousable.
Most minor head injuries can be treated at home but remember to get little ones checked over if you see the following signs and symptoms or if you just aren’t happy with how they are:
Slurred Speech
Confusion
Drowsiness
Vomiting or nausea
Dizziness
