Lawrence Jenkinson Opticians, established in 1988, are a family-run optometric and dispensing opticians based in South Yorkshire and North East Derbyshire. We are committed to the highest standards of eyecare. We aim to provide quality, service and value in all aspects of eyecare and eyewear for all the family. At Lawrence Jenkinson Opticians, eye examinations are undertaken by fully qualified and experienced Optometrists and spectacles are dispensed by properly qualified Dispensing Opticians. We have our own “ in house “ glazing laboratory which is capable of processing most of todays sophisticated spectacle lenses and spectacle frames which means that we are able to maintain full control of all aspects of spectacle quality and workmanship. We are currently base in Dronfield in the Civic Centre and in Sheffield on Woodseats

Monday 9.00am to 5.00pm
Tuesday - Friday 9.00am - 5.30pm
Saturday 9.00am - 4.00pm

Dronfield practice;
Our opening hours are;
Monday 9.00am to 5.00pm
Tuesday - Friday 9.00am - 5.30pm
Saturday 9.00am - 4.00pm
Closed for lunch 1.00pm - 2.00pm


We provide free NHS eye examinations for the following categories of patient;

Children under 16 years old. Young people who are aged 16, 17, or 18 years old and are in full time education. Those patients who are aged 60 years or over. Patients who have glaucoma. Patients who are diabetic. Patients who are aged 40 or over and are a close relative to someone who has glaucoma. Those patients who are blind or partially sighted. We just had to show you these amazing paper flowers and light up lanterns, made by one of our lovely patients. I'm sure she won't mind us letting you know that she's in her 80s..such a talented lady! 🤩
We are selling them, on her behalf with all the money raised going to Ovarian Cancer Research.
The flowers arrangements are just £5.00 and the beautiful lanterns only £6.50. A great price for all the hard work and love gone each and every one..we hope you agree and pop in to purchase one..or two. We currently only have ones on photos..but are hoping for more to arrive over the next coming weeks. 🤓❤️
