It's been sooo long since I posted on here but life has been hectic since I started my podiatry degree!! Still working part time though so wanted to say a very Happy Christmas to all my lovely patients and their families. Here is a beautiful present, hand made by a patients wife and given to me. I was so touched 🥰. Have a lovely time all 🎄🎉🎁☃️###

Callus build up can sometimes be very painful if left untreated. Was very happy to make this patient more comfortable earlier today, removing what had become a very hard ridge 🦶😁

Saw a lovely patient this week who's nails desperately needed a trim and burr. As well as causing mobility issues, long nail growth can cause damage to surrounding skin, as seen in the top left 'after' picture. A very satisfying job done 😊👣 and a much more comfortable patient!

Love this result 😁. Verrucae can be extremely painful, even making walking difficult and this patient had struggled for over a year with these on the inside of their big toe. The after picture below was taken at my 3rd visit.

I have a number of treatment options available for verrucae, now including Verrutop. Please feel free to contact me for further information 🙂.

Sometimes it's the little things 😄. Nail thickening is a common problem as we age. This patient's right little toe nail was particularly thick and hard to trim. (The left little toe nail had thickened in the same way, but unfortunately had pulled off after being caught on something by accident 😔.) The nail was trimmed and then burred down to make it more comfortable, the result is below.

Recently I treated a patient who had a very painful ingrown toenail. They had tried to cut the nail themselves to get some relief but this hadn't worked (first picture). During my visit, I removed the shard of nail that was causing the discomfort, (on the picture, all that is to the left of the white line was within the side of the nail), cleaned the area thoroughly and dressed the toe. The patient is now able to walk pain free and very relieved! 😊👣.

Cracked heels including a number of deep fissures, before and after 2 treatments. Really happy with this outcome 😁. Cracked heels can not only be painful but may leave the skin open to a number of infections, making matters worse. Glad I was able to help 👍
