Dudley SEND Local Offer

Dudley SEND Local Offer Information for children and young people with special educational needs and their families.

Dudley’s Local Offer is a one stop shop website for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities and their parents and carers. Dudley’s Local Offer is now part of the Dudley Community Information Directory – an online directory which offers people quick and easy access to information on local services. The Local Offer webpages contain a wealth of up to date information on areas which include education, training and work, health, leisure and fun, care and moving into adulthood. The website aims to help young people and parents to make individual, informed, positive decisions and choices. This page will inform followers of recent updates to our online site. Please note this page cannot respond to individual issues or queries please see Dudley's Local Offer on where these can be raised.

External Query - Hello, I run parent and toddler outdoor stay and play sessions at Wildflower Forest School based at St. Mary's CE Primary School in Kingswinford.
I’m hoping to gauge local interest in running a SEND only stay and play sessions for children under 5 on Tuesday mornings potentially from January. I’d really appreciate any feedback. Many thanks 👍🏻

Synergy Upgrade
We wanted to let you know that the SEND Team will have limited access to some of our systems for a short period of time. This is because an essential upgrade is being carried out on the Synergy database — the system we use to manage information and support our work with you.

When will this happen?
The upgrade will begin at 5pm on Tuesday 25th November and is expected to finish by Thursday 27th November. During this time, Synergy and all its online portals will be unavailable.

What does this mean for you?
The SEND Team will still be available via the duty contact system (Enquiries.SendTeam@dudley.gov.uk or 01384 814360), but there may be delays in accessing certain information or responding to specific enquiries while the system is offline. We will do our very best to minimise any disruption and keep our support running as smoothly as possible.

We appreciate your understanding and patience while this important work takes place.

Sharing on behalf of Black Country ICB

I wanted to take a moment to introduce you to our Keyworker Cafes—a NHS Keyworker community initiative designed to support individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism (LDA) in the Black Country. These cafes are hosted by NHS Keyworkers and Peer Support workers from the Learning Disabilities and Autism Keyworker Team, and they are open to all residents of the Black Country with an LDA diagnosis.
Our mission is simple: to empower and support our LDA citizens by providing a welcoming, low-pressure environment where people can connect, receive peer support, and access essential services. The cafes also offer signposting to further support, helping people navigate systems that can often be challenging to access.
The Keyworker Cafes are not a crisis service but a community-based initiative. We’re working towards bridging gaps between services and systems while ensuring people are connected to the right resources when they need them most.
We currently host four cafes across the Black Country, each serving the following areas:
• Wolverhampton
• Dudley
• Sandwell
• Walsall
The goal is to involve the citizens themselves in running these cafes, with the ongoing support of our Keyworker services. This initiative not only fosters peer-led connections but also creates a safe space for those who may already be in services or those who may need additional support.
