This is a weird one to write.
Yesterday I celebrated one year since my first class at Empower.
My first standalone classes with real life people booking to come for me as a teacher. Something I’d been working towards (and procrastinating over for fear of being rejected) for a while, and finally taking that leap and putting myself out there.
Even though it hasn’t always gone to plan, with having to drop Fridays, over the last year I’ve learnt so much. I’ve found more confidence in my teaching, feeling into what I’d like to share through my classes, and what works, and equally what doesn’t.
My Monday evenings are filled with such love, and I get such a buzz from prepping my classes and playlists for each term, and seeing my beautiful students.
I am in awe of the wonderful women that have come to me each week, some for the past twelve months. Most of whom hadn’t done yoga before, and seeing the way they move now fills me with so much joy. They have all gained confidence in one way or another, even if they would argue otherwise!
Yesterday’s celebrations for me didn’t end up being what I’d originally planned, but I still wanted to mark this little achievement. And because of her I will always strive towards what lights me up and makes the world a, slightly, better place for me to be in 💕
