We are incredibly proud of our Advanced Clinical Practitioner, Nurse Amy Armiger, who travelled to London on Friday to receive the Queen’s Award in recognition of her outstanding contribution to primary care.

Amy has been instrumental in developing local menopause clinics and creating the Women’s Health Champion Programme, empowering women in our communities to better understand and manage their health. She has also been recognised for improving access to menopause care for women with learning disabilities and championing inclusive, patient-centred services.

This award is a celebration of Amy’s dedication, innovation, and her unwavering commitment to improving women’s health and wellbeing. Congratulations, Amy — an inspiration to us all! 🌟

Appletree Medical Practice is a busy, friendly surgery caring for over 11,000 patients, and we’re looking for a part-time Receptionist to join our team.

We’re seeking someone who is:
✨ Friendly, confident and professional
✨ Highly motivated and well-organised
✨ A great communicator
✨ Experienced in customer care
✨ Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
✨ Flexible – sickness and annual leave cover will be required

📅 Hours: 11 hours per week (2 set shifts – final pattern confirmed at offer stage)
➕ Holiday/sickness cover required

🌟 Great Work in Belper Primary Care Network! 🌟

We’re proud to share the fantastic work being done within the Belper Primary Care Network as we held our first Diabetic Group Consultation this week! 👏

This new approach brings patients together in a supportive group setting to learn more about managing their diabetes, share experiences, and receive guidance from our dedicated healthcare team. 💙

A big thank you to everyone who took part and helped make this first session such a success — it’s inspiring to see patients working together towards better health and wellbeing.

Yesterday marked the exciting launch of our very first Diabetic Group Consultation! The feedback from patients was truly inspiring, and our team had a fantastic time embracing this innovative approach to care. Huge thanks to Vicky, Robyn, and Sally for making it happen. Stay tuned for more details on how you can join our diabetic group sessions. Plus, we're thrilled to announce that starting in January, we'll be expanding our group consultations to include menopause and HRT support — bringing compassionate care to more in our community!
