Happy Halloween πŸ‘»πŸŽƒ

We have been busy carving our pumpkins, which are now displayed in our garden.

Some of our residents enjoyed the feel of the pumpkins before carving, we felt the different textures in the process of carving and talked about the smell reminding us of Autumn 🍁." Pumpkins you either love them or hate them" πŸŽƒ

We have also enjoyed Halloween entertainment from Elizabeth Amazing Grace Entertainment. Who kept us entertained singing all our Halloween favourites.

Today we held our monthly church service, this means so much to our residents. The theme this month was harvest which brought back many fond memories.

We enjoy the short service with hymns, prayers and communion and spending time chatting with the church group afterwards.

Top tips to help combat loneliness for older people. 🧑

Today is World Mental Health Day, a reminder that looking after our mental wellbeing is just as important as caring for our physical health.

Feeling connected is vital to good mental health, especially in later life. In our latest blog, we focuses on loneliness in elderly people, exploring the causes, how it impacts people, and the small acts of kindness that can make a big difference.

Through shared activities, community connections and everyday kindness, our teams help create places where people truly feel they belong.

This morning we enjoyed looking through some local history books, reading poems out loud this led to a discussion about swans.

The conversation on swans reminded Susan of Swan lake and then Susan and Christine enjoyed watching swan lake on YouTube.
