So many members shared this wonderful article with us today...

'She shows me a dog-eared and disintegrating book, cello taped at the spine from overuse, called Light on Yoga: over 200 postures and 14 breathing exercises described in detail, by BKS Iyengar"

Dorothea Barron maintains a fitness regime many half her age would struggle with – and says she feels as sprightly as she did at 16

Over the next couple of weeks, Women’s Health Class will explore variations of Upashraya Baddha Konasana (Supported Bound Angle Pose).

This is a deeply restorative, supported version of Baddha Konasana, where the back, head, and thighs rest on props such as a bolster, blankets, or blocks. The body opens without effort, and the breath becomes quiet and steady.

Key Benefits for Women
• Gently opens the chest and groins, improving posture and ease of breathing.
• Calms the nerves and balances hormones; soothes PMS and menopausal symptoms.
• Reduces fatigue and anxiety by activating the parasympathetic nervous system.
• Improves circulation to the pelvic and abdominal organs, supporting reproductive health.
• Relieves menstrual and pelvic discomfort, allowing a natural downward flow.

It's the start of a new block of classes. Come and join this one, every Tuesday, 10:15am with

What a great team of volunteers getting everything set up for the big group we've got studying with us this weekend. Looking at the anatomy of the spine and trunk last night we practiced a range of Asana such as supra padangustasana 1 & 2 and trikonasana without putting our hand on the leg. Jatara parivartanasana and so on. All to feel which muscles supported the movements which muscles stretched and contracted.
