Today we said "Goodbye" to our Practice Manager Jill Teasdale after 27 years of hard work and dedication to Lochthorn Medical Centre. Jill will be sorely missed by staff and patients alike and we all wish her the best for a long, happy and relaxing retirement 🥰 Happy Retirement Jill Teasdale you've earned it ❤️

Today we said goodbye to our Secretary, Julie at Lochthorn Medical Centre after 16 years. Julie will be missed but we say hello to Louise who was our receptionist now going to be secretary and wish them both all the best.

World Diabetes Day - What do you know about diabetes?

Diabetes is a lifelong condition that causes a person's blood glucose (sugar) level to become too high.

There are two main types of diabetes – type 1 diabetes and type 2 diabetes.

The main symptoms of diabetes are:

🔹 feeling very thirsty
🔹 urinating more frequently than usual, particularly at night
🔹 feeling very tired
🔹 weight loss and loss of muscle bulk
🔹 itching around the p***s or va**na, or frequent episodes of thrush
🔹 cuts or wounds that heal slowly
🔹 blurred vision

If you have symptoms, you should visit your GP as soon as possible.
