Testimonial Tuesday – Trauma & injury recovery

“After suffering major trauma injuries from an accidental fall, I was desperate to try anything to help with my healing process. I was in a lot of pain and wanted some normality back.” – Stuart C

Stuart came to Just Breathe O2 after multiple fractures, a dislocation and a torn ligament, adding oxygen therapy into his rehab alongside physio. Over a month of twice‑weekly sessions, he noticed pain easing, progress his physio was pleased with, deeper relaxation and better sleep – all important foundations when the body is trying to heal.

Oxygen therapy isn’t a magic cure and it’s only ever one part of a wider plan, but stories like Stuart’s show how it can support recovery for some people.

If you’re rehabbing after injury and wondering if HBOT could play a role, you’re welcome to message and ask anything.

What actually happens in a session at Just Breathe O2?

If you’ve never tried oxygen therapy before, here’s what a typical session looks like.

You’ll be welcomed into the clinic, have time to ask questions and get comfortable, and then settle into the chamber while the pressure is gently increased – a bit like taking off in a plane.

Once at pressure, you can settle into breathing around 85-90% oxygen and can simply rest, read or listen to music. When your session is finished, the pressure is slowly brought back to normal and you can take your time getting out, have some water and head back into your day.

If you’re curious but unsure what to expect, you’re always welcome to message and ask anything before you book or just pop in to say Hi, we're always happy to chat through and answer any questions.

Worried you might feel claustrophobic in an oxygen chamber?

It’s one of the most common questions that people ask.

The chamber at Just Breathe O2 is light and bright, and you are never left on your own – there is always someone close by, and you can pause or stop at any time if you feel uncomfortable.

If claustrophobia or anxiety is something you live with, please say so when you get in touch. There will always be time to talk it through, answer your questions and go at a pace that feels manageable for you.

We are there for you and you’re in control.

PAWS for Thought Thursday with Ouzo & Mack 🐾

Today’s reminder from the four‑legged team: it’s okay to slow down, rest and take five minutes just for you. Your body doesn’t have to “earn” a break.

If you’ve been running on empty for a while – whether from stress, long‑term health issues or just life feeling a lot – you’re not on your own. This is a calm space where you can pause, breathe and explore whether oxygen therapy might be part of your support.

Over the past few years, there’s been a huge shift in how gut health is understood – not just for digestion, but for energy, mood, immunity and long‑term health.

Every week at Just Breathe O2 there are people sharing a similar story:

"not ‘ill enough’ for clear answers, but nowhere near feeling like themselves."

Tired, foggy, in pain, or just running on empty – from general burnout and stress right through to chronic fatigue and post‑viral issues.

Oxygen therapy is one piece of the puzzle, alongside things like sleep, movement and, increasingly, the gut....

As the science grows on how our microbiome links to inflammation, metabolism and recovery, it’s exciting to think about how this can support people who just want to feel well and stay well.

Going into the new year, the plan is to explore gentle collaborations and small workshops around whole‑person health – including gut health and oxygen therapy – with like‑minded local businesses.

If this resonates with you, whether personally or as a practitioner, you’re very welcome to connect.

We’re often asked what it means when we say Just Breathe O₂ is a social enterprise — so we wanted to explain.

Being a social enterprise means people come before profit.

It means:
• Our focus is impact, not shareholders
• Any surplus is reinvested back into the service
• We’re committed to making wellness and recovery more accessible
• Our decisions are guided by community need

We chose this model because we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to heal, not just those who can easily afford it.

Serving the Dumfries community isn’t just what we do — it’s why we exist.

💙 Thank you for being part of our journey.

✨ Paws for Thought Thursday ✨

Some days, healing looks less like doing more… and more like slowing down, breathing deeply, and letting your nervous system find its balance again.

Ouzo reminds us of this every single day.

His calm is contagious — and sometimes that’s exactly what our clients need before a session.

Whether you're healing, recovering, or just navigating a full week…
