"The chamber has changed my life so much for the better.” 🌬️✨

For , we are sharing Euan’s incredible journey. At just 15, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) and POTS took away his sporting dreams and confined him to his bed for six years.

In 2023, Euan found Just Breathe O2. Today, he’s on the ice for wheelchair curling and looking toward a university future. 🎓🥌

Highlights of Euan’s journey:

The Turning Point: Moving from being unable to sit up to taking part in weekly exercise.

The Mental Shift: Improved cognitive function, mental clarity, and regained confidence.

The Philosophy: Using the chamber as a vital "tool" to sustain progress and build strength.

The Team: A warm welcome from Beth, Steph, and our dedicated "Unofficial therapy Dogs," Ouzo and Mack! 🐾

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) sounds technical, but the core principle is actually quite beautiful in its simplicity. It’s just oxygen and a little bit of pressure.

Usually, our red blood cells carry oxygen around the body. But when we add a small amount of atmospheric pressure, something incredible happens: the oxygen is able to dissolve directly into our blood plasma as well.

Think of it like the fizz in a bottle of sparkling wine. The pressure keeps the 'fizz' (the oxygen) inside the liquid. In the chamber, this allows oxygen to reach areas where circulation might be restricted, supporting the body’s natural ability to repair and optimise itself from the inside out.

Aren’t our bodies incredible?

It isn't about being 'sick'; it’s about giving our systems the tools they need to perform at their absolute best. Whether it’s helping with recovery or just enhancing daily wellness, the science remains the same: simple, natural, and effective.

Have you ever wondered how the pressure actually feels? Ask us anything in the comments! 👇

Sunday is for looking at the big picture. 💭

Right now, our biggest hurdle at Just Breathe O2 isn’t our passion—it’s our capacity. Our current single chamber means we are forced to turn away the people who need our help the most.

We have a waiting list of individuals right now who simply cannot use our current setup. 37% face mobility issues that require accessible design, and 48% need the comfort and space of a larger unit. This creates an inclusivity crisis that we are determined to solve.

Our goal isn't just to get 'bigger'—it’s to become truly accessible. By evolving our space, we are moving toward a model that can serve 600 to 900 people annually. That is 900 lives transformed and a massive shift in the health and wellbeing of our region.

We are still in the quiet phase of 't-crossing' and 'i-dotting,' but the vision is steady. We aren't just building a centre; we are building a future where no one in the South of Scotland is excluded from the care they need.

Here’s to a week of making the invisible, visible. 🌬️✨

As the week comes to a close, the centre feels unusually quiet. 🌬️

But behind that quiet, there is a lot of focused energy. We are reviewing plans about floor space and working through the internal 't-crossing and i-dotting' that comes with preparing for a major milestone.

Since 2014, the goal has remained the same: to make sure everyone—regardless of their mobility or their financial situation—has a seat at the table. We are moving toward a space where affordability is protected and accessibility is a given.

The next chapter is coming. Watch this space... Ouzo and Mack certainly are. 🐕🐕

Ouzo & Mack here for your Thursday . 🐾🐾

We’ve noticed a bit of a theme at Just Breathe O2 lately: Personal Space. Or rather, our lack of it. 🤨

As self-appointed experts in reclaiming the best spots in the building, we’ve noticed the centre is feeling a lot 'cozier' than usual. There are more footprints, more whispers, and a lot of humans looking at floor plans that are definitely taking up our rug real estate.

We don't know much about 'capacity' or 'demand,' but we do know that when the humans start talking about 'new horizons,' it usually means the pack is about to get a whole lot bigger. 🌬️✨

Our thought for today: If you feel like you’re outgrowing your spot, it’s probably because you were meant for a bigger den. 🐕🐕

There’s a shift happening within these walls. We aren't allowed to bark the details just yet, but let’s just say we’re hoping the 'new horizons' involve a lot more square footage for us to sprawl across.

Watch this space... we certainly are. 🧐

Testimonial Tuesday – Sleep & lungs

“One major thing is that I did sleep better after being in the chamber… my lungs were a lot better too.” – Marcella Eakin-Watt

Marcella noticed two big changes during her time using oxygen therapy at Just Breathe O2: deeper sleep and easier breathing. For many people, these “quiet” shifts – sleeping more soundly and feeling their lungs work more comfortably – can make everyday life feel more manageable.

If sleep, breathing or simply never feeling properly rested are issues for you, and you’re wondering whether HBOT could help support your body, you’re welcome to send a message and ask any questions.

"They say that once you find a hidden gem, you have a responsibility to share it. 💎"

Since I first stepped into the world of Hyperbaric Oxygen back in 2014, my mission has been simple: to take the incredible science I saw working behind closed doors and bring it into the light for everyone who needs it.

Lately, the air at Just Breathe O2 feels different. There is a rumble of change behind the scenes—hours of planning, late-night strategy, and a vision that is finally starting to take a physical shape.

We aren't ready to pull back the curtain just yet, but we are preparing for a shift that will mean more access, more capacity, and more lives changed.

The next chapter of our journey is being written right now...

Are you ready to breathe it in with us? 🌬️✨

This first week of the year can feel strange – not quite back to normal, often more exhausting than it looks from the outside.

If 2025 has left you feeling drained, foggy or never quite recovered after illness or stress, you’re not alone.

As 2026 begins, Just Breathe O2 is here as a calm space to explore whether oxygen therapy might be one part of your recovery or wellbeing plan.

You’re very welcome to send a message if you’d like to ask questions or chat through whether it could be a good fit for you. There’s no pressure – just information, listening and support.

PAWS for Thought Thursday – New Year’s edition 🐾✨

Ouzo & Mack’s plan for 2026: more fresh air, more naps, more gentle days. No resolutions, no pressure – just listening to what their bodies need and taking things one step at a time.

If you’re heading into the new year tired, post‑viral, dealing with long‑term health issues or simply worn out from life, you don’t have to hit the ground running. Small, kind choices and proper rest still count as progress 💙

If you’d like to explore whether oxygen therapy could be one gentle piece of your support in 2026, you’re always welcome to send a message or visit the website to find out more.

Testimonial Tuesday – MS & relapse

“Just Breathe O2 has gave me my life back.” – Sarah Manson

“I was diagnosed with MS in 2021 and everything was going fairly well until May this year. I had my first major relapse. Fatigue, pain and decreased mobility were my biggest symptoms. I was told about Just Breathe O2 and thought I would give it a go.

I am so glad I did. From day 1 Beth, Steph, Ouzo and Mack were there to greet me, listen to my concerns and reassure me every step of the way.

I had a session twice a week for a couple of months and now go once a week. I was able to build myself back up to returning to work and just living my life again. Forever grateful to Just Breathe O2.”

Every MS journey is different and oxygen therapy is only ever one part of a wider plan, but Sarah’s experience shows how HBOT can support some people alongside their existing care.

If you’re living with MS or another long‑term condition and are curious about whether this might help you, you’re very welcome to reach out and ask any questions.
