Friday round-up... I hope you've all had a good week ❤

It's almost Friday, so time for a little photo round-up of the last week or so...

We've been blown away by the response to our Petal Lampshade colab and are very excited to see the first petals leaving our workshop and making their way to new homes.

I've been enjoying having these beautiful snake head fritillaries in our house 🐍🏁 left over from our Petal Lampshade petal photoshoot last week... but they're happiest outdoors, so I'm putting them in my garden today and looking forward to a little potter in the sunshine ☀️

We are so grateful for the time and expertise from with creating all the botanicals for our photoshoot. Sustainability is a big part of and I's ethos for the Petal colab and so using locally sourced plants that could then live on outdoors was a double win ♥️

With our next round of hand-painted lampshade workshops starting next month, we're busy stock-checking and ensuring we have plenty of beautiful paint colours and interesting materials for our makers to create their lampshade masterpieces!

We hold these events in the fabulous and a delicious lunch from the is included in your ticket price.

You don't need any prior experience for this workshop; we will guide you every step of the way, from planning and painting your paper template to rolling and forming your lampshade.

We're told that this experience makes a lovely Mother's Day gift too! 😊❤️

Just along the hallway from the boys' bedroom I shared last week, is this main bedroom, also tucked into the eaves.

The owners had already invested in key pieces - bed, bedside tables, and a beautiful Ercol chair - so we focused on adding depth to the room with a warmer, calmer colour palette and some bespoke joinery and styling.

We added a stud wall at the bed end to create alcoves behind the bedside tables...while the tables were gorgeous, just as they were, but a little small for the scale of the room. This adjustment gave them more visual weight and a larger practical surface area.

At the other end of the room, we created a softer view from the bed by building a bookcase into the wall and adding a second chair to create a cosy reading area under the sunny Velux.

Well, that’s a wrap! 🎬

After weeks of preparation - scoping venues, planning scenes, gathering styling pieces, tending botanicals (thank you Studio Seapink) and of course, making Petals🌸 - we spent two solid days this week photographing our new Petal Lampshade collaboration.

We have some truly beautiful shots by the wonderful Folkenrose that we cannot wait to share with you. And in the meantime, here’s a little behind-the-scenes sneak peek!

A huge thank you to Clockhouse Furniture for generously letting us take over their studio and borrow their furniture for Day 1. And a wee shout-out to the behind-the-scenes support team, our husbands Ed and Jamie, who shifted furniture, drove carloads of kit around East Lothian, cleaned the house (Hannah’s place for Day 2!), and made countless cups of tea.
