🌿 Week One 🌿

There’s always something so special about week one of baby massage. I love the preparation leading up to the first class, followed by meeting all the lovely Mums and babies who are joining me.

Our focus in the first week is always to cover the legs and feet strokes. These parts of a babies body adjust well to massage as they are used to being handled often with multiple nappy changes throughout the day.

The foot massage incorporates reflexology points, specifically those connected to the sinuses and stomach, helping to provide relief and aid digestion.

A leg massage not only helps to calm and relax your baby but also boosts circulatory flow whilst lengthening and strengthening those little muscles. The leg massage can also be done on older children, especially to help when suffering from growing pains.

Next week we will move on to the abdomen and look at strokes to help ease little tummy troubles.
