I was fortunate to spend last week attending lectures by Barbara O’Neill at a health summit held in Crieff by Good Food Project. Barbara is an Australian lady, 71years old, very humble and knowledgable about all things health and nutrition.
Many of her lectures are back to basics health advice using things like herbs, caster oil and good nutrition.
One of the things that resonated was that many people are given labels. Conditions , such as IBS and Fibromyalgia are often allocated when people are not truly diagnosed, they just have symptoms, such as stomach bloating and discomfort after eating.
It is imperative to look at the person as a whole being and look at their diet, lifestyle and health history and possible food intolerances to offer hope that you can heal and not be living lifelong with a label and pharmaceutical drugs to mask the symptoms.
Well done Barbara!
