I had the privilege of being asked to do a Pilates session with Natalie McLauchlan School of Highland Dancing as part of their fitness day to start their year.

Such a fabulous bunch of girls, cracking personalities, such hard workers and an absolute joy to teach!! And I loved the new highland cow mascot today, Bruce!!

You girls have so much potential!! The progression I’ve seen in all of you from a Pilates view point in a year is brilliant! Keep working hard & work towards your goals you’ve made for the year!!

We are now closed for the festive period and will reopen on Monday 5th January.

🌐 Acupuncture Recognised in New NICE Neurorehabilitation Guideline (NG252)

The latest NICE Guideline NG252: Rehabilitation for Chronic Neurological Disorders (2025) recognises the importance of multimodal, non-pharmacological rehabilitation - creating new opportunities for physiotherapists using acupuncture.

The guideline highlights how effective rehabilitation depends on managing pain, fatigue, and emotional wellbeing; all areas where acupuncture has robust clinical relevance.
By helping to modulate pain, improve energy regulation, and support emotional balance, acupuncture enhances engagement and progress in rehabilitation programmes.

Key sections on:
🩹 Pain (1.13)
⚡ Fatigue (1.14)
💙 Emotional wellbeing (1.17)
🚻 Bladder & bowel function (1.8.16)

All recognise areas where acupuncture offers evidence-informed, cognition-safe support.

The AACP continues to champion acupuncture as a key modality within NICE-aligned neurorehabilitation, promoting:
✅ Better pain control
✅ Greater participation
✅ Improved quality of life
