Why do we wait until 6 weeks to scan?
From 6 weeks onward, your baby is developed enough for us to see that beautiful, reassuring heartbeat. If we scan any earlier, there’s a high chance we won’t yet be able to confirm viability simply because it’s too early for the heartbeat to be visible.
Our goal with early pregnancy scans is always to offer clarity and reassurance — and we can best achieve that by waiting until the 6th week.
