Very clever machines - no training needed! Always be aware of where your nearest defib is!

They only deliver a shock if it’s medically necessary, and only when no one is touching the patient.

Even if you’ve never used one before, modern AEDs guide you every step of the way with calm voice prompts and clear instructions. You don’t need to be a healthcare professional to help—just follow the steps and the device will do the rest.

So the next time you see an AED on the wall of a school, community centre, or shop, take a moment to notice it. It’s a powerful tool that could save someone’s life—and it’s safe to use.
