One of last weeks Korean Lash Lifts for another lovely client.

💥 Its like a perm for your lashes. Like old-school perms from the '80s, lash lifts set the shape of your natural lashes using a chemical solution. A lift is essentially what your lash would be doing with a really good mechanical curler, so giving a nice shape upward and a realistic curl.

Unlike a lash extension, a lash lift simply alters the shape and colour of your natural lashes. The treatment involves boosting and lifting lashes, before tinting them for thicker, darker, longer looking lashes which lasts up to 8 weeks when looked after.

Micellar Water… not quite the skincare hero it’s made out to be 👀

It might look like a simple bottle of water that magically removes your makeup… but it’s actually working thanks to synthetic cleansing agents (surfactants) that form tiny oil molecules called micelles. These grab onto makeup, dirt and oil so they can be wiped away.....

But here’s the bit many people don’t realise ⬇️

Those cleansing agents sit on your skin after you’ve wiped your face, which is why many skincare experts recommend washing your face afterwards! - so now you're just wasting time too!

AND Some micellar waters also contain Polyaminopropyl Biguanide (PHMB) - an ingredient that has raised safety concerns and has even been restricted in cosmetics in some regions 😱
And many formulas use petrochemical-derived glycols (like propylene or hexylene glycol) to dissolve makeup.....

What's that?…

Glycols were originally developed for industrial uses and are also used to make things like car coolant!!! 😣😱

That’s why I personally prefer a cleanser that removes makeup and cleans the skin in one step. No cotton pads, no faff. No risk of petrochemicals 🚫
