Check this message out from a lady I'm helping out.
A bit of context...
She'd hit a rough patch, lots of "life" was happening, and she was feeling lost and alone.
This can happen to anyone!
I've been there
And all the "who's gonna carry the boats" hoo-ha nonsense becomes meaningless when you become the boat, when you are floundering and can't see a way out.
I've had semi-pro athletes hit that spot
I've had new parents hit that spot
It's incredibly common with my injury management work, hard charging individuals suddenly losing their identity after a bad injury
But this is why we reach out
We have a network of friends, and we have professionals we can go to for expert help.
And if that help gets you back being you, then it becomes priceless
If you find yourself saying that you're proud of yourself, that is priceless
I get that asking for help can be difficult
But it's way easier than being adrift and not knowing how to get back on track.
I'm proud of this lady, hopefully I'm as proud of her as she is.
She's shown herself that regaining your sense of self is simple, but not easy.
It takes attitude to recognise you need help and to reach out.
It takes attitude to accept that hel, make it your own and run with it.
This is why I like to say Attitude is Everything
And yes, everything is trainable
