Sales Manager Joanne Campbell was delighted to be in Downpatrick last week to deliver a further 2 accessible minibuses to Down Community Transport.

It was great to hear from Sheileen Brady, Manager, Down Community Transport – how busy the group is over the run-up to Christmas and how the minibuses will be put to use very quickly. 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝗸𝘀𝘄𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗻 𝗖𝗿𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗠𝗪𝗕 converted into crew van by our specialist division.

Conversion specification includes:
▪️Standard PCT Fl**ge towbar with 50mm ball & 13pin trailer socket to suit vehicle without a rear step.
▪️LED flush lights installed in rear cargo area and along either side of vehicle and controlled by existing vehicle interior lighting
▪️Window holes cut and tinted fixed glass installed in LH sliding door.
▪️Straight steel box section bulkhead installed in rear of vehicle to create crew area, from 'C' pillar at sliding door to opposite panel, plylined with 6mm plywood. All joints sealed.
▪️Existing front factory bullhead removed from vehicle, cut in half and installed back in vehicle
▪️Shelving installed as per customer specification from regatex plywood on each side and behind the bulkhead.
▪️Walls, door panels and ceiling in rear cargo area of vehicle insulated with rock wool.
▪️Ceiling in crew area and in rear cargo of crew van plylined with 9mm plywood.
▪️Walls, door panels and wheel arch boxes in rear cargo area of vehicle plylined with 6mm plywood on walls and door panels, and wheel arch boxes constructed from 12mm plywood. All joints sealed and black plastic step edging installed at side and rear entrance doors.
▪️Folding table installed in front of crew seats secured to bulkhead and finished with black vinyl top
▪️Plylined ceiling of rear crew area of vehicle trimmed with snakeskin leatherette finish
▪️Plylined side walls, door panels and rear bulkhead in rear crew area of vehicle trimmed with velour.
▪️Forward facing treble Blenheim HB seat (1275mm Wide) secured to floor with 300mm fixed legs
▪️Independent Engineers Report Supplied for Crew van (Seats/Bulkhead) or Taxi conversion
