IT’S FRIDAY!!

No better time to post the New Smile of the week. The beautiful Noleen has finally got the smile she always wanted in time for her family wedding.

We started with some whitening, followed by composite veneers to cover the translucent bottom half which she hated and reduced the pointy appearance of her canine teeth by adding composite. No drilling of teeth, no injections, and one happy patient.

Happy Christmas from myself, and all the staff at David Reaney Dental.
This year has been busier and tougher than most, managing the most common problem in healthcare right now- understaffing due to Covid isolation. These girls have gone beyond what is asked of them and I can’t thank them enough for this. . Looking forward to creating lots of New Smile Designs next year 😊

This patient was treated using latest injection technique to close spaces and improve the shape of the upper front teeth.

Maximum aesthetic results can be obtained using flowable composite bonding.

The patient was treated without the need for any drilling or local anaesthetic and she is delighted with her finished results 😃

COVID19 update 🦠

Updated advice from the Chief Dental Officer outlining the process and phases of how dental services will return have been released.

The practice will re-open for emergency treatment only from Monday 8th June. Routine dental treatment cannot be provided according to the Chief Dental Officer.

From the 8th June, if a patient is being referred to the Urgent Dental Care centre they may need to be seen in the practice for a "face-to-face" assessment before the referral is accepted by the Urgent Dental Care centre for a complex or Aerosol Generating Procedure.

Unfortunately this means at present we are still under restrictions and unable to provide majority of the treatment that we normal could offer.

Urgent has been defined as:
-Dental and soft tissue infections
-Dental trauma
-Swelling
-Severe dental pain that cannot be controlled by with pain relief
-Suspected oral cancer
-Uncontrollable post-extraction bleeding
