🚨 Low Back Pain 🚨
First step: Getting Out of Pain!
Back pain just kicked off?
Don’t panic, keep it moving gently.
Ease off what really aggravates it,
and give it a few days to settle.
You’re calming things down here,
not fixing everything at once.
Save this for when it flares up.

💥 LOW BACK PAIN 💥
So Saturday I hurt my back.
Went into a tackle, felt it go…you know yourself.
First thought?
Ah here we go… this is me out for a while.
So what did I do?
I didn’t panic, and I didn’t lie flat doing nothing either.
For the first day or two, it was sore.
So I kept things easy: bit of walking, changed positions often.
Then I started moving it gently with a couple of simple exercises. Avoiding pain, encouraging movement.
Just enough to tell my back it’s safe to move again.
Because 99% of the time with back pain like that, it’s not serious damage.
It’s more like your body going into protection mode.
If you stop moving completely, it just gets stiffer, sorer, and more sensitive.
So what worked for me?
Kept moving, even when it was a bit uncomfortable
Didn’t push into sharp pain
Built it back up over a few days
And now? Near enough back to normal.
You don’t need perfect rest.
You don’t need to “click something back in”.
You just need to get it moving again—gradually.
If your back’s just gone and you’re panicking, save this.
If this happens to you regularly, or isn’t settling after a day or two, give us a call… we’ve been there!

“If I could rate Back on Track more than 5 starts I would. From the first session Darren was extremely competent, performing a thorough examination of my knee while clearly explaining what he was doing and why. He gave several potential causes for my injury, and the reason why he recommended an MRI.
After surgery he outlined a clear recovery plan with well defined milestones. All my questions were answered and I was told which symptoms I should be wary of, and which were part of the natural recovery process. The purpose of each of the rehabilitation exercises I was given was explained, as well as alternative exercises if I was experiencing discomfort. Through the recovery process I have been able to consistently meet the milestones he outlined in the recovery plan with no significant setbacks.
For one appointment, Darren was unavailable, and David filled in. David was able to immediately understand where I was in my recovery journey and provide recommendations to continue my rehabilitation. David showed he was also incredibly knowledgeable, advising small adjustments to my form which I feel have resulted in a more rapid recovery, and regaining of my pre-surgery strength.
To summarise, the physiotherapists at Back on Track are fantastic, and I would highly recommend anyone who has muscular or joint related concerns to have them checked out there.”

Habits to Thrive in 2026 💪
How to tip the scales in your favour this year
Your physical health isn’t shaped by one workout, one treatment, or one “perfect” week.
It’s shaped by the habits you repeat.
Small changes… done consistently(!) are what reduce pain, improve movement, and keep you doing the things you enjoy.
If you’re:
• Living with daily aches
• Stuck in cycles of flare-ups
• Unsure how to move safely
• Relying on short-term fixes
👉 It might be time for a different approach.
At Back on Track, we help you build habits that support long-term movement, not just short-term relief.

If pain has become “normal”, this is for you 👇
Most people don’t struggle because they’re doing nothing…
they struggle because they’ve been given the wrong messages about pain, rest and movement.
This post walks you through:
• Why quick fixes don’t last
• Why pain shouldn’t be ignored
• What actually helps long-term
• When to seek help (before things get worse)
Better movement isn’t about pushing through pain… it’s about understanding your body and getting the right support at the right time.
If any of this sounds familiar, we’re here to help.
