My Story

I started studying Mindfulness 25 years ago, based on the teachings of Zen master, Thich Nhat Hanh. Yoga became a part of my life about five years after discovering Mindfulness. Although I have been teaching Hatha Yoga for about ten years, my own practice has included a lot of Iyengar yoga and I have experimented with most other styles at various points.

Mindfulness and Yoga have changed my life. They have helped me manage mental health difficulties such as depression, social anxiety, burnout, and generalised anxiety. My day job for over twenty years has been in domestic abuse, supporting survivors in a variety of roles, but mostly through facilitating psycho-educational, therapeutic, group work programmes.

In 2015 I qualified in Integrative Hypnotherapy , through training completed with the complementary therapy department at the Christie Hospital in Manchester.

My qualifications are:
