Can we as a community help these kids get their new goals?

Every £1 helps..

Hi
We are three P7 pupils from Kirn Primary School and we are raising money to buy new football goals for our school.

We love playing football at break and lunchtime, and lots of other children do too. The goals we have just now are old, small, broken and need replaced, so we thought it would be a great idea to try and raise money for new ones. We want to leave something special behind for Kirn Primary so that pupils and community sports groups can enjoy the goals for many years to come.

This is our last year at primary school because we are moving on to Dunoon Grammar in August. We wanted to do something positive before we leave and create a legacy for future pupils in Kirn.

We have set up a Crowd Funder page for the community and others to help us reach our 'goal'. Anyone who donates £5 or more will have their name, or their business name, added to the football goals. We think this is a really nice way to say thank you and to remember everyone who helped. Cash donations can also be handed into Kirn school office. Thank you to those who have donated already.
If we smash our target amount, any remaining funds will go towards updating other areas of the playground. Pupils have already given us some ideas as we want to be as inclusive as possible.

We hope lots of people will support us and help make this happen for Kirn Primary School. Every donation makes a difference and we really appreciate it.

I have been placing orders for new stock this week while away at the trade show. So lots of new things to come. ☺️

How do you all feel about the aldi plans?
Public meeting Thursday 22nd.
I know we need better priced food but genuinely think all the supermarkets are now over inflating their prices. And nothing we can do about it. (Morrisons over £2bill profits)

As a small business I’m happy when other businesses come to the town but I am not a fan of superstores, I have always said it’s these that kill the high street. Once a shop is big enough to stock everything it kills the small shops as they have a one stop shop.
100% since Morrisons introduced bedding I sell less than half what I used to. Do they need to sell bedding and souvenirs? I doubt it, but you’re in there anyway and saves you a trip elsewhere.

Obviously we want people shopping small and local where you can, but facts are many shop for convenience and if something is a little more expensive in a shop but they don’t need to visit a different shop they will go with convenience if time poor.

I’d love to know your thoughts.

Could it bring more people to the town to shop or steal them away to a one stop shop??

As part of our commitment to community engagement, we are hosting a public consultation to enable members of the local community to view and comment on our proposals for a new store on Hamilton Street, Dunoon.
