Reflexology…what’s all this about then…
Well, if you haven’t tried reflexology before have a quick read…it is a wonderful, restorative and relaxing complementary therapy which works well alongside conventional medicine.
By applying gentle pressure to reflex areas on the feet it is possible to bring about a state of deep relaxation and to stimulate the body’s own healing processes to help restore homeostasis.
A little bit about me…
Taking a holistic approach to health and wellbeing, whether educating or in everyday life, it was only going to be a matter of time before I made the decision to finally train as a reflexologist. To say it’s been challenging, fitting it in alongside working at full tilt, is an understatement but I’m so delighted I took the plunge into the fabulous world of complementary therapies.
Wish I’d done it years ago…now just some major time management required in 2023!
Running Let’s Talk Menopause since 2014 (unofficially from 2012), & spending the majority of my time educating, it has been so wonderful to get back to some ‘hands on’ again (also a Refistered Nurse).
I can’t emphasise enough the value of taking time out for yourself by giving your body the ultimate treat of either some reflexology, acupuncture, hypnotherapy the list goes on…and let’s not forget cognitive behavioural therapy and giving yourself the odd nutritional revision.
Basically feed your body what it needs from a nutritional perspective and keep those stress levels down and under control…
If you’re in the Scottish Borders or surrounding areas have a look at the new website www.ruthsreflexology.com Enormous thanks go to extraordinarily talented Trudy Morrison who has the patience of a saint…literally! There will no doubt be the odd tweak and nudge to be done but please do go on and have a gander!
