Such a busy fun filled day today at Dukeminster Court , we did a homemade spaghetti bolognaise from scratch in the slow cooker, ready to be served with garlic bread and homemade baileys cheesecake for a decadent dessert for our pub night. We had Gemini Clothes in the cafe giving residents a marvelous experience of shopping for their own clothes after lunch and we also had a fun quiz on one of the units!

Residents engaged in making their very own homemade bird feeders this morning. We cut oranges in half and removed the flesh, crumbled seeded bread to make bread crumbs then mixed them up with finely diced pear and banana. We filled the orange skins with the feed. We then used skewers as perches and tied them up outside for our feathered friends 🐦

This afternoon residents at Dukeminster Court turned their hands to a spot of bird watching. We managed to see a Red Kite along with the usual pigeons, magpies and sparrows. Not much to see today but we'll try again when the weathers brighter. We enjoyed time together chatting nevertheless.

Dukeminster Court hosted a southern themed pub night tonight. Residents dined on Southern fried chicken with chips and homemade coleslaw followed by refreshing ice cream. There was the usual open bar and we completed the cosy experience by listening to some dixieland jazz music. 🎷 🎶 🎵 onve again, a good time was had by all ❤️
