Hi

My name is Kirsty and I will be the Practice Nurse running our next walk in smear clinic at Ushaw Moor Surgery. The clinic is available for all lady's whose smear is due, you have had your invite letter and you are registered at one of our 5 surgery sites at The Medical Group. Our sites include:

💗Ushaw Moor

You will be greeted on reception by Joanna and Karan. You don't need an appointment, you just need to turn up between the above times. We hope to see you all there 🙂

Meadowfield Patients - Pharmacy Update

Please note, Well Pharmacy next door to the surgery is now open and everything is running as normal. If you have any pharmacy queries, please either ring them or pop in.

As we are not part of the pharmacy and a completely separate service, we are unable to help with pharmacy queries at the surgery.

📢 Important Update: Well Pharmacy (Meadowfield) – Temporary Closure

We are very sorry to inform our patients that Well Chemist attached to Meadowfield Surgery remains closed due to fire damage. We understand how disruptive and worrying this is, especially for those needing regular medication.

Although Well Pharmacy is completely separate from The Medical Group, we want to reassure you that we are working closely with their team and offering as much assistance as possible to ensure patients continue to receive their medication when it is due.

Please be aware that their telephone lines are currently unstable due to the incident, and the Well team are doing everything they can to resolve this as quickly as possible.

💙 A polite request:
This is an extremely difficult situation for both pharmacy and surgery staff. Everyone is working very hard under challenging circumstances. We ask that you please remain patient and kind.
Sadly, we have received reports of swearing and verbal abuse towards staff. This is not acceptable, and anyone behaving in this way risk being removed from the Practice List in line with NHS policy.

Thank you for your understanding, patience, and kindness during this challenging time. We will continue to share updates as soon as we have them.
