And this is the sweets fail by me 🤣

Who knew candy floss was so fragile!

Could your frozen shoulder be a sign of perimenopause?

Have you heard of the musculoskeletal syndrome of menopause?

As oestrogen levels fluctuate, you guessed it, they have an effect on our joints, bones, cartilage, collagen, tendons and muscles.

Oestrogen has an anti inflammatory effect on our body. And therefore when levels fluctuate we often see women in their 40s reporting problems and being diagnosed with conditions like frozen shoulder, Fibromyalgia, tendonopathy, arthritis.

But shout out to our little hormone friends that could be influencing the pains/ symptoms you feel.

70% of women can experience these symptoms peri to post menopause.

At this time we also experience loss of muscle mass and bone density (this due to aging AND inactivity NOT menopause itself).

Our body’s ability to repair itself is also disrupted in this time, meaning it takes us longer to heal and recover from injuries and symptoms.

So what can we do about it I hear you cry! Stay tuned for part 2!

My audition to be your new favourite women’s health physiotherapist.

I’m talking to you:

The pregnant mama who has pelvic girdle pain.

The post natal lady who wants to get back to strength and movement after child birth.

The peri to post menopause gal who doesn’t know which track to be on. Let’s face it there is a lot of noise out there.

The leaky laughers.

Those with pelvic pain.

You’ve had pelvic or abdominal surgery such as hysterectomy, c section, ablation, excision.

The ‘ I’ll just go for another wee before I leave the house, just in case’ type.

The ‘oh it’s normal for me to be constipated, I just take laxatives’ crowd.

All of these are super common problems that we see, all of these I can help with, common isn’t normal and I can help you.

What you’ll get from me:

I’m a good listener.

I’ll share knowledge and education to empower and inform you.

My holistic approach to women’s health to include lifestyle, nutrition, mental health, exercise, zooming out of the pelvis.

Helping your body and pelvis be happy again.

Cheerleading (not literally) to help you achieve your goals.

How did I do?

I now have free discovery calls available to help you find out a bit more about women’s health physio before booking.

Do you need a reset?

What if you have all the good intentions, have been told all the things you could do to help your body- nutrition, exercise, sleep.

But you feel stuck? And don’t feel like you can put one foot in front of the other let alone start an exercise regime or a nutrition plan.

When ladies visit the clinic it’s often the first thing we talk about.

The burn out is real, I know, I’ve been there. Juggling work, relationships, kids, schedules and life admin.

What if your nervous system needs some extra attention first?

A chance to stop, pause, reset.

To step into a new mindset, soothe your nervous system, go forward with clarity and focus and have someone by your side through the process.

I’m here to help you reset. With mindfulness, meditation, relaxation, breath work, nervous system regulation, emotional freedom technique.

Book a women’s health discovery call today and find out how I can help you reset.

It’s the first ever world POI day launched by and supported by The British Menopause Society.

Premature Ovarian Insufficiency (POI) impacts 4% of women before age 40, profoundly affecting their physical, emotional, and mental well-being.

Alarmingly, many women endure significant delays in diagnosis and critical information.

To tackle this, the Daisy Network, the UK charity for women with POI, is launching World POI Day.

Join in and help to raise vital awareness to ensure women receive earlier diagnoses, better support systems, and superior healthcare solutions.
